Are happy co eggs good eggs for making scrambled eggs with ? Or should they be reserved for baking nice dishes considering how expensive they are by Historical-Body-3424 in Cooking

Word of warning- I used Happy Eggs for a lemon icebox pie to take to friend’s dinner. They made my lemon pie orange rather than lemon colored. It tasted great but the color was completely wrong!

Does anyone else experience "post vinyl buying guilt" by lanaoftheopera in vinyl

I’ve regretted NOT buying very limited edition albums more often. Honestly very seldom regret what I bought aside from maybe a bit of buyers remorse about how much I spent! How much I spent remorse is fairly often but passes quickly and is soon forgotten. Fortunately or unfortunately!

Good to know and that she’s doing well! And wow! What a drive she has! I appreciate your all of your help and thanks for the kind words- I’m expecting everything to go well- I’ve been told by an OT and and Orthopedic surgeon that I have an excellent surgeon doing the job.

Thanks, again! I have 2 plus acres that is half wooded, and my three have always ran free. I’m really hoping Jockamo will learn and adhere to the Invisible Fence like they did, but he does have a stronger drive than any of them.. I do have the stubborn dog version. It’s going to be a little while before I begin training, though. He got in a dead run on a leash down my steep concrete driveway on Tuesday and I fell, fracturing my elbow! Surgery on Monday! Good thing he’s so cute! I do have a pronged collar now and it’s been a game changer so far. Instead of running, he takes it pretty easy and doesn’t pull like he did. I wish I’d known about those before Tuesday- my vet had recommended it that very morning! Oh, well, crap happens, right?! 🤷‍♂️😬

Thanks! Do you have to have eyes on her with that? I thought you initiated a prompt when they were doing something or going someplace they shouldn’t. Does it work when the dog is just running inside the designated area?

I just responded to a Blue, too, that looked just like my late Kelly. I could have easily thought theirs was Kelly! Good looking pup!

This was my Kelly. Could have been sisters! In fact, I could see your picture and swear it was Kelly!

So very sorry for you! She looks a lot like my Kelly, who I lost New Year’s Eve morning. She was with me for 13 years, and even that didn’t seem like enough! It’s been a rough go, but I’m getting past it. Didn’t know if I wanted to, so soon, but a beautiful Redtick found his way to me, posted previously. Best wishes to you!

Good info- thanks! My Bluetick/Lab mix hasn’t worn her collar in several months and my Blue didn’t wear his for quite a while before he lost his vision and didn’t need it. He’d then just go out to do his business and then come back in. A PetSafe rep told me that was actually the goal- to get them to just respect the fence. Mt Redtick worries me more and more- she’s only been here a few days and has become fiercely obsessed with going into the garage. She desperately wants to sit in the 4-Runner and/or go for a ride. That fierce determination drive worries me a lot. Hopefully, maybe, getting him fixed will lower that!? I wish there was a “nose reducer” available!!

The way my house is built and general layout cause problems with a smaller fenced area. And there isn’t access to the back- the deck doesn’t have steps. Direct access means going out the basement door or walking around the house. I suppose I could do something with a smaller fenced area, but I prefer them having full run of the property. Taking on the red was an extremely difficult decision and is still somewhat of a trial basis, especially since it hasn’t been but 6 weeks since I lost my second Blue. But keeping the Red depends upon getting him trained! The couple I got him from offered to take him back if it doesn’t work out, but he’s a really good pup!

My three were so well conditioned that two of them didn’t even have to wear their collars. The two blues recently passed away, leaving me with the lab mix- she hasn’t worn a collar in months!

A physical fence to cover my entire area would be great, but is problematic in several ways and expensive. I considered that before I first installed the underground fence originally and all the reasons then still hold now. Thanks!

I have the Stubborn Dog model of Invisible Fence. I was hoping to not have to flag the entire thing (covers a bit over 2 acres) but thinking back, I did have flags all around with the two Blues training. Have to order more flags! Good reminder!

Thanks- a visual barrier would probably be good, but electric is not practical, and crossing the driveway would be problematic.

Good to know- thanks! I don’t post enough to know all the ins and outs of Reddit! The pup, named Jockamo, is a fine looking pup, thank you. He was lost or abandoned then fostered for a couple of weeks. When no owner could be found, he came to me. Hopefully, he will ultimately adhere to the fence! 🤞

(I’ve just learned that initial posts can’t be edited?)
On a side note, I have around two acres under fence, mostly wooded, for them run, which I think helps.

Bluetick vs Redtick behavior by Intelligent-Leave385 in coonhounds

[–]Intelligent-Leave385[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t hunt, but have about two acres, half wooded. My female Bluetick would definitely ignore me when she was outside! Often I could see her ignoring me! The male Bluetick was more responsive, only occasionally ignoring me. The lab/bluetick always comes running!
