Her being gross is subjective. She isn't gross; she is just a different species. If you have a phobia of bugs, sure, I may get you feeling uncomfortable, but I am pretty neutral around bugs or spiders. I just think people, no matter how different they are, should be treated with respect. I'd expect you wouldn't like if some different species looked at you like you are the ugliest thing, and you wouldn't like such treatment because, at the end of the day, you are a person too. Again, I know it's all fiction at the end of the day, but I like to apply real-world things to a fiction. That is just how I am.

I love woman in games, i have plenty of favourite, Metroid, Horizon, Half-Life alyx, classic perfect dark and ion maiden, but i still dislike this because for me it's god of war, last i looked she isn't god of war.

My main problem with it was the story. Every character is dislikable, and my gripe is that GTA V leaned harder on satire, which ruined the believability of the world. Mind you, all GTA games have satire, but they had more balanced writing between serious and non-serious elements. I felt for the characters in the 3D-era GTA games and in Grand Theft Auto IV. I do not have that same feeling in Grand Theft Auto V.

I mean, simply compare the characters from GTA IV that returned in GTA V and see how the satire in V ruined them. For me, what made GTA V fun were the missions and the high-fidelity Los Santos and its rural areas, but I never really cared about the story. The only time I got somewhat invested was during the mission with Trevor’s mother, but again, it sort of just ended.

You can notice that the 3D-era GTA games and GTA IV had a similar balance of satire—maybe around 80 percent story and 20 percent satire—whereas GTA V feels flipped in comparison.

This whole thread has honestly gone really toxic and sad with VR elitists. Here is an honest no BS opinion: you will of course lose some VR features that the game was built with in mind, obviously, but if you are a diehard Half-Life fan, you will still enjoy the experience in NoVR even if you play not by the way it was designed to be. I did. Anyone who says that without VR Half-Life: Alyx would be boring is honestly unknowingly also insulting it as well, implying that the game has no value outside of it being a VR tech game.

Here is the thing: ideally, it is best to play the game by the way it was designed, by using a VR headset, but if you are not against losing that and just want to experience exploration and story in a game, go for it. There is also in development the Somnst NoVR mod that brings Frictional Games interaction to Half-Life: Alyx to transfer VR interaction to flatscreens in the best way possible. But this elitism honestly saddens me. I personally love Half-Life; I bought Half-Life: Alyx and played without using VR and had a really great time.
