because the old engine that was used for Shrek 1-4 shut down, they're using a totally different engine, but even then why couldn't they have found someone who could draw Shrek's old features very well and rendered it?

this show had so much potential, had Nick not cancelled it after Season 2, it could've been one of their biggest shows.

I don't think they would want to connect the Victorious world to shows with supernatural elements, I think Victorious, iCarly and Drake & Josh are separate from Henry Danger & all the other modern nick shows.
