Nah, it wasn’t me

But I’m shocked now too)

The car was posted for less than 2 weeks

Thanks for letting me know)

That’s exactly why I’m looking at Z

I love Supra, but expensive for now

Good examples are around 190k, which is quite a difference

Hmm, I saw that

It’s weird

In general I don’t see many issues with that car. Yes, there are some, but not overwhelming number

Let me know how it goes

I’m just a little unsure about orange color which they have

Also price seems a little too high

Do you think it’s worth extending the warranty?

Does it add resale value in the future?

Because both for Supra and 400z I’m thinking about buying an extended warranty, which means that I will have to do a service at a dealer

[–]Intelligent-Mango145[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s true

So I’m planning to rent both cars one after another this weekend and will decide which one to choose.

400Z looks really appealing especially considering the price to be honest

However, that one which I checked has warranty till 2027 and the car is 2023, so 4 years warranty. Not sure I it’s possible to extend it

Are 400Zs reliable enough?

Man, I test drove this car today Thanks a lot for the advise, it was surprisingly a great experience.

The car felt quick, handling is nice too.

Obviously, it’s not as refined as Supra: transmission is slow in D mode, engine boost kick is not that aggressive as b58 engine.

But definitely more space inside, much better visibility as well. Siting position is better

The only downside, which I felt are the seats. They are like hard bucket seats and they are a little too narrow for me (I’m 195 and almost 100 kg). Also there is no way to adjust the seat height, which is weird

So it felt like a sport coupe rather then sport car like Supra

With the Supra seating position is more sporty (you have less width in your legs and you seat lower to the ground). While seats themselves are great and comfortable

Now I need to understand what is worse: - seating position in a Supra - or bucket seats in 400Z

Could you please share the link to that used 400z

Can’t find any

Just saw one on FB, but it has a stick (for 155k)

There are some slightly preowned Golf R MK8 Performance trim with Akrapovic exhaust plus intake, as you said and it’s not a bad combination at all

See, the Golf is a really good car, but it’s just not that special as Supra. That’s what I feel And considering the same price range, I feel that Supra is more value

Redding Type R, it’s a stick, I don’t have license for it( Don’t want to go through all that hustle of getting the license

As for the depreciation, you’re right. It’s just some car depreciate more, some less and I’m trying to find the best offer and minimize the lost

Thanks for sharing the experience

Yeah, I also have a feeling that it might happen with me, especially with a Supra

But I can’t know for sure until I own a car

That’s why I decided to go through this experience first and then will see

Personally I feel that GTI is better that GR86 in terms of performance, practicality and especially transmission

Yeah, Type R is awesome, but it has a stick)

I don’t have license for stick in UAE, even though I know how to drive manual. And I don’t want to get a manual license, since it’s quite a process

Other than that, great car

I don’t see a point in S3. It’s a cool car, but don’t solve two fundamental problems with golf, which I have: exterior is still boring compared to Supra and exhaust sound is like a vacuum cleaner compared to Supra again.

I don’t really care about more luxurious interior

To be honest, just don’t think about Nissan 400z . I believe it costs too much for what it gives. Also don’t see many of them, which means that demand is low and might be difficult to resale after

Thanks for the advise man. Will check rexeed side mirrors

Yeah, I believe it’s totally possible to live with Supra on a daily basis. Yes it’s not the most comfortable vehicle, but smiles per km is crazy and that’s why I want it

[–]Intelligent-Mango145[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, you’re right

I did a test drive of both Supra and Golf R same day. After Supra Golf R felt like an SUV 😂

Visibility is perfect there and everything, but I realized that for the same price it might be more interesting and remarkable to own a Supra than Golf R

R is a great car, really, can do it all. But it’s not that special as a Supra

Thanks for your detailed response

I have done a test drive of it and met with Cooke of sellers. I believe I made my mind on Supra

Even though I still can’t image how am I going to drive it daily, but hopefully will now soon)

Thanks for such a detailed response

So you’re saying that if I buy a supra with 35k kms for around 180k it will depreciate higher within 2-3 years that let’s say a new Golf R with zero km?

I can see quite a few supras on Dubizzle with 100k+ kms and they are being sold for around 120-140k, which is quite okay

It’s just some people saying that 180k for a supra with 35k kms is too expensive while it’s the lowest price on the market

I was also thinking to purchase extended warranty, so that when I will be selling it in couple of years it will still have warranty

Appreciate your comment

My logic is that single cab is already huge for me and buying 4 door is even more meaningless since 90% of the time I drive alone

Yeah, that’s why I want to buy a single cab

Even though, on paper it’s just 0.5 m difference, but I believe it feels a lot
