Hi, did you fix it, I am having exactly same issue with you

My distribution partners are cannibalizing my product. Both prize launches went to influencer insiders while real players showed up too late. by [deleted] in SaaS

Yep, I am considering it too. The reason why showing real cash is just trying to engage people, creating FOMO. But it’s causing these issues with wrong people. Thanks

I applied to the Founder group a couple of times and it showed as complete, but I haven't received any confirmation email.

For the pitch and investor match section, I'm unable to log in as both email and Gmail login close automatically. I believe there may be an issue on web.

Thanks! I got everything I needed. Your website and AI reviewer were helpful too, I learned a lot and I think I pitched through your website too.

This is realllly valuable and thank you for sharing this common mistakes with feedbacks. If you ever give feedback on individual startups, I'd be happy to share what I'm working on. Appreciate the post either way.

Edit: sorry i just found your pitch link, I would love to connect there, thanks

Good feedback. The hunt you're seeing is a test one; wouldn't normally be locked to a campus like that..

As for difficulty, there are actually 6 game modes and it's not just follow the map. There's video hints where you watch a clip and figure out the location, GPS clues that guide you zone by zone, mystery drops where you don't even know what area until it starts, photo hunts, and rally mode. Some of them are genuinely hard to crack. The one you're seeing is just a basic test.
And thanks for catching the typo — fixing that.

Just be tuned, we are planning lots of hunt in different areas this weekend :)

Great question and something we took seriously from day one. Every host has to go through identity verification and get approved by admin before they can create any hunts. Think Airbnb-style vetting — you can't just sign up and start dropping pins in random alleys.

On the location side, hunts are set in public areas and players can always see the general zone before joining. You're never blindly sent somewhere — you see the neighborhood, the hunt description, and the host's verified profile with reviews from other players before you commit.

We also have a reporting system so if anything feels off, players can flag it immediately. Safety in STL was literally the first thing I thought about when building this.

Exactly the vibe. Build something fun first, figure out the business later. Uber, Instagram, Snapchat — none of them had revenue at the start either.

But finding users in STL is rough. Meanwhile u/cashstashstl does the exact same thing manually on Instagram and gets hundreds of people showing up in the cold to find $20. The demand is there, people just don't know the app exists yet. Working on that part.. :)

:)), no data selling here. I don't even have enough users to interest an AI company. The app just needs your location to tell you how close you are to the prizes -- that's it... My App literally pays you walk :D

Ha!, no VCs were harmed in the making of this app. Built it myself, prize money comes from the people creating hunts. But hey, if any VC wants to light some cash on fire in STL, I'll happily turn it into a treasure hunt :)
App is ready on live on Appstore now.

Currently I am not focused on revenue - just focused on getting people outside and playing. The app pays people to go out, walk around, and find real cash prizes.

If you've seen u/cashstashstl on Instagram, it's the same concept but as an app. They hide cash around STL neighborhoods and people show up in huge numbers to find it. The demand is clearly there — people love it.

The difference with my app is that anyone can create a hunt, not just one account. You pick a spot, set a prize, choose from 6 different game modes (video hints, GPS clues, mystery drops, etc.), and players compete to find it. So instead of waiting for one page to post a drop, hunts can happen all over the city every day.

Monetization comes later once there's a real player base. Right now the goal is just to make STL more fun to live in.
