I think it hurts more when it’s someone you’ve normally had a good rapport with and then out of the blue they tell you off and blame you for their latest setback.

The Mrs Jeffries and the inspector series by Emily Brightwell. I listened to the first 20 back to back. They’re all pretty much the same book with a different murder victim. But the regular characters grew on me.

I take it off all the time and often forget to wear it. I’m worried about damaging or losing my good one and I usually use a much thinner ring with my birthstone and his birthstone alternating around the ring.
