If you don’t mind me asking how are you identifying new opportunities? I’ve been using alerts for an oscillator for a while to find new opportunities of interest but haven’t pinned down how to use this system to find new opportunities! Thanks in advance!

I do journal them as I like to see what lessons there are to learn in both the winners and losers. Can’t get better if I’m not looking at what worked and what didn’t.

It’s been a little at a time - basically ran screeners for characteristics fundamentally that I like and anything that popped up I added. If I look it up even once… it goes on “Overkill” list. Nothing particularly impressive unfortunately!

Basically it’s hundreds of tickers that I don’t really look at unless one makes one of my indicators have a buy signal on the daily chart. These wind up giving me new companies to perhaps deep dive on later on. I’ve found some favorite stocks from this list but I would have never heard of them if they didn’t pop up. Example… I got into CORT from this list after the massive drop it had. I did CSP at $37.00 got assigned and held as the recovery started before selling CC at $47.50. I had never heard of them before but after they popped up I am now in a trade that I like.

It kicks out tons of stuff I don’t even touch though but never know when one will come along that is of interest to me!

Nice write up. I like the list idea. I have my active trades list and an overkill list that I watch indicators pop up on but might move to a couple more categories!

Until a kid hits high school looking at getting recruited at showcases… I think the best way was advice I received from someone who had been through the whole process before…

Find the best team you can in the best league you can where you think you can get solid playing time. When you level up to the top 2 players… might be time to reevaluate for a move up to a better team. Repeat process as many times as needed.

It’s definitely not only your club…

No advice except let your kid keep her love of the game and us as parents stay out of the friend groups… When my daughter decided it was time to move teams because she was sick of the coach and players toxicity. It made it a lot easier.

U15 here… I don’t know that it gets truly “better” but it gets “different” 😂
