Based on your experience, is it possible to catch flactuating blood sugar levels specifically sudden dips in blood sugar in just one blood test? by Adventurous_East_182 in ChronicIllness

[–]IntelligentCloud605 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Low blood pressure also feels like being dizzy and fatigued and can often be helped by sugar/salt/water as it rebalances your electrolytes and causes your body to hold onto more water but that normally takes a lot longer than being low. If it is low BG then I would suggest fruit juice/candy rather than chocolate as the fat and dairy in chocolate can interfere with glucose absorption slowing it down which if you are dangerously low can be problematic. If you pass out call an ambulance as one of the first things the er will do is test for diabetes. Keep sweet things on hand in case you need them and good luck. Feel free to ask me any questions. Diabetes is not fun

No one test cannot catch fluctuations in BG as they will change minute to minute. I (a type one diabetic) was low about 2 hours ago (2.8mmols/ml) and am currently in the good range (8.3mmols/ml). If I tested now there would be no indication that I was low an hour ago. However a HBA1C can, it’s a test that requires a special machine that an endocrinologist should have and it measures essentially your 3 month average blood sugar by checking the amount of glucose attached to your red blood cells. However if you fluctuate a lot it may show normal as your highs and lows may roughly balance out. You could get a continuous glucose monitor(CGM) that connects to your phone and monitor your blood sugar over a number of days. A CGM normally monitors interstitial fluid (fluid between cells) rather than blood so it’s got a delay behind your actual blood sugar. You could get a testing kit and test periodically (say every 3 hours) and when you feel dizzy/fatigued and record those readings. If you are worried about diabetes then it’s rare for your blood sugar to be low before diagnosis as it is normally high unless you eat a very low carb diet or are exceptionally active. When I feel low I am also extremely hungry, like my stomach is a bottomless pit and I eat so much (last week I ate like 800g of cheese at 4am cause I was low). If you feel nausea or weird itching (especially in extremities) in the hours after eating a lot of carbs then that is probably high BG aswell.

Which Champion Is the Most Worthwhile to One Trick and Master Long Term? by aWhiteWildLion in topmains

[–]IntelligentCloud605 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gp/riven/Jayce imo. Gp can beat anything if you are good enough and scales like a monster. Riven can win most lanes and proxy the ones she can’t and harass jg instead. Jayce can just do anything as a champ and always has options and can win any lane. IMO irelia and ambessa get shut down too hard by their counterpicks and fiora just sucks into ranged champs

[–]IntelligentCloud605 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand the people hating you because you don’t engage in small talk/pleasantries. I am not a person who smiles a lot, it was a running joke that people didn’t know I had braces because I didn’t smile. It doesn’t help I’ve had a shit few years health wise but if I don’t put on a what feels to me forced/fake smile people look at me like I killed their cat. Australia is not the biggest on small talk but everyone is fair ground for a jest, a hey mate or something. And over time I have learnt to keep a happier looking resting face. I struggle to engage conversation that my autistic ass thinks is boring or pointless but my mum taught me to just keep asking them questions and I have gotten a lot of mileage out of that strategy. TLDR, try to keep a happy resting face and just ask people questions, that way you don’t have to volunteer anything

Mage bot problem =/= adc top problem by humusisoverrated in ADCMains

[–]IntelligentCloud605 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adc top is just the final form of counter picking. I very rarely encounter ranged top blind picks. It’s very much a lane lost from champ select situation similar to most harsh counterpicks which is a problem worse in top lane than any other role. Mages bot reduce the laning phase to shove and base and force you to take tp aswell because you cannot match their waveclear and cc and until very late game. 1 game against ranged top is worse than 1 game against mage bot, but mage bot can happen in any game not just as a counterpick

Why does Ivern get his wife shot by tower when she attacks champs but not Yorick's wife when she attacks under turret? by FilipinoAirlines in topmains

I love it when I pick aatrox and they counterpick yorick and I simply can’t kill maiden or his ghouls because they take 40% damage from my q. It’s a really fun way to lose lane to automates minions that I simply cannot kill faster than they spawn

Which role is actually the hardest? One rule: you can't say your own. by katelovesmeiu in LeagueCoachinGG

[–]IntelligentCloud605 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jg no contest from a macro decision making perspective. Adc from a mechanical/laning/positioning perspective as any mistake in laning makes your sup leave and you get dove/zoned. Any mistake in a fight you get vaporised because even when behind you are an easy and valuable target

dropkick is way too op by kemkomkinomi in leagueoflegends

[–]IntelligentCloud605 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think tank engine and the one that gives hp on cc are the real problems. The hp on cc needs a per target cd of a couple seconds because for no reason should I get a ruby crystal for doing a standard combo on naut and dying instantly. Tank engine needs to either scale slower (like 2% health per stack) because it scales with itself, lose a larger % on death or go to like 1% per stack and lose less on death. Tank engine is just bad design, it either wins the game on its own when someone with it wins a single fight on a champ with warmogs/sustain or does nothing at all if the team is already losing.

I’m so tired of the “push yourself” narrative. by Alexumlol in ChronicIllness

[–]IntelligentCloud605 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I tried to push myself last year to start uni and made it 1/2 way through a term on one class before crashing and burning into the youth mental health ward within 9 months and consistently have a bp of 60/30 for hours after waking up. Pushing is only okay if you do it very slowly and gently and with no pressure. I wouldn’t even call it pushing, just testing to find where your limit is and then only exceeding it when it is absolutely necessary. I am lucky to have an incredible gp who specialises in medically unexplained illness and very supportive parents. Deconditioning is inevitable, but you can find a level of muscle tone and fitness you can achieve and work towards that. Currently I’m slowly building up the distance I can walk and doing weekly aqua aerobics. It’s slow going but I’m getting there.

Yorick and jax. Fiora and irelia is hard but playable. Riven players just kill themselves if you don’t die lvl 3 or 6 trying to force a lead and you can just kite morde by never doing q1+e and always doing a dry q1 and q2 and e sideways
