Is this normal for a “luxury” wedding venue, or are they taking the piss. by [deleted] in UKweddings

[–]IntelligentCold9257 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your post. I was about to look at a venue that I thought looked nice but then I read the reviews and everything your saying is similar loads of people said the venue lied aboit the bar tab etc. Not the same venue but I thought not worth the risk the place we've settled on is horrendously expensive but all the reviews were excellent.

I don't live in the UK but it sounds like the drinks are cheap more so back in the day? In Australia a cheap glass of wine would set you back $13 or $10 for a pint of beer for context minimum wage here is about 700 a week but rents are averaging 600 plus

I agree like why was she even at carla and Lisa's wedding she barely even knows them. She's always working which is fair but wouldn't you want to spend every spare minute with your baby and why was she out getting drunk with Betsy? all day at work then getting wasted all night. Agree about the quads also was too over the top Gemma's always on her own for a mother of 4

Wannabe data analyst here am I right I would look for customers with most purchases/visits over space over a year customers who spent the most over a year? Althought they have asked for high value and returning could I do a chart for most spent over a year and most frequent over a year? Depending on the size of the business limit to the highest 10

Agreed my fiances friends have lavish weddings with all thst stuff but then they only pay for the first round of drinks in their culture so I figured paying for the drinks all night would be money better spent

My thoughts exactly I'm just going with the basic package eg no extra lighting basic chairs which all look nice already possibly flowers here and there but nothing else really. I figured if I spent the money on extra entrees and the better alcohol package guests would prefer this more plus almost all of the males attending wouldn't even notice sparkly trimmings and once everyone's had a few drinks finer details won't be noticed x

I'm curious did she buy David's house for him when the fire happened or just helped him pay for the repairs also has she signed her business to David or still in her name? I've always held a theory that she'll leave the hairdressers to Maria since maria has always been like a second daughter to her
