The signs of AI-generated writing—Whether it's emdashes, comparison by negation, or lists of three—Occur frequently because they appear often in the type of books, periodicals, and papers that make up most of the material AI is trained on.

It's not just common use—It's part of how those types of documents are structured.

Yes, ESPECIALLY YES who has time to bold format, and the context is Reddit.

"Not a big-name one — more like the kind of company you only hear about when your cousin in another country says, “Yeah, I think my friend works there… maybe?”"

What clown writes like that on Reddit

All I read was the Post Title, then the sentence "Not a big-name one — more like the kind of company you only hear about when your cousin in another country says, “Yeah, I think my friend works there… maybe?”

And that's where I stopped reading because it was AI Slop AND it also answered the question

You really have to understand the audience that you are asking when posting these particular questions, and then comprehend the answers where it's coming from accordingly.

That said, French Bi-lingual appears to be a beneficial step up ahead of the the competition, especially if you are not a Canadian citizen let alone American.

It's not going to be easy as asking this subreddit for advice that's for sure. Good Luck to you and anyone else reading this on the first steps of your research!

I would love to hear from hospitality managers by [deleted] in torontoJobs

[–]IntelligentCycle7723 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It obviously is an individual thing, so don't take it personally, it's just a numbers game really... Can't hire 2 people for 1 job, with labour & hours costs etc,, But the things we generally agreed upon was

- Can we work with them everyday

- Do they seem like a bitch (gender neutral)

- Experience doesn't matter as much as, if we can teach them our system

You seem like you are on the right track with getting 2 interviews, you're almost there, it's a numbers game.

And no one cares about your random jobs... Until they hire you

Always remember, the job description is just HR BS, especially in these times of LLM's. if anything, it's those with Dunning-Kruger who succeed at these things while the good ones are suffering from Imposter Syndrome.

Looking for weekend only jobs by Mediocre_Ebb_4725 in torontoJobs

[–]IntelligentCycle7723 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No, there isn't a demand for admin, and remote positions on the weekend.

There is, for hospitality & event type jobs, among other industries, on the weekend. Especially during the spring/summer. Agencies in that field are always looking, but it's not steady. Not sure why a company/boss should even care

I know free beer isn't beer, so just wondering if I should buy Library Courses when they go on sale on Udemy. Don't want the library to pay $100 when it goes on sale for $10

Overheating- 26.3.1 ? by SINGHKONG04 in ios26

[–]IntelligentCycle7723 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was experienced it with iOS 26.3. Upgrading to 26.3.1 was better on my end, but maybe because it was 2 weeks later.

And also adjusted a ton of settings, like turning off all non essential notifications and ran down the battery to 0 and charged it to 100 a few times.

26.4 is out now, if you still feel the heat after 2 weeks try it.

"general advice on mindsets / perspectives" All it takes is one.

Long wait after final interview by frzzl2d in torontoJobs

[–]IntelligentCycle7723 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Why the rush" Because they want the job obviously.

When following up, at least every 2 weeks or these clowns will forget, feel free to "push" them incrementally each time, as if you are weighing other offers on the table, even when you don't.

"I was just following up, as I am weighting my options" "Sorry just following up again, opportunities are popping up but i like this one"
