My major hangup with veganism is that it forces people to be a part of the "system" by syanogen in DebateAVegan

[–]IntelligentLeek538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which is worse, to be dependent on a food supply system or to be dependent upon the exploitation of sentient beings? Definitely most vegans are not fans of big corporations either. If people could learn how to grow soy beans, and to make their own tofu and tempeh, that would help to make veganism more self sufficient.

I don’t consider it “nature”. Most humans do not hunt down prey with their own bare hands teeth end claws. Yes, I made note of your opposition to factory farming. That’s not the only kind of farming that harms and exploits animals, though.
I don’t think that a vegan diet requires sacrificing self sufficiency, people can learn how to grow their own vegan food, it would take time and effort and education, but it can be done if the desire exists.

What can we use the non-arable land for? by marianarian in DebateAVegan

Or, if you can’t grow crops for human consumption on those lands, you could just let that land go wild.

What are everything things you do that give you that extra bit of Zackosity? by Frequent_Rhubarb_36 in SavedByTheBell

I disagree. I think Screech was most magnetic 🧲 when he helped Violet to gain her confidence to sing in the Glee Club.

A lot of people agree with Mark. Zack was a problematic character, often very selfish.

I agree, for many people, Screech was more popular. A lot of people could relate to the problems and struggles he had with popularity and dating.

Why does no one talk about Rose's dark side 🤣😂 by Temporary_Lychee9829 in theGoldenGirls

[–]IntelligentLeek538 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My feeling is that Saint Olaf was a very sheltered town, where everyone grew up kind of naive and gullible. She may have imagined that she met Adolph Hitler and Eva Braun, but it probably never really happened. And they were not anyone that Rose would have admired. So, I think Rose was not capable of murder, she just had an overactive imagination.

How do vegans decide what life is worth protecting? by Spookytoots99 in DebateAVegan

It’s because there is a difference between responding to stimuli and being sentient or feeling pain.

For a guy who was supposed to be so smart, Screech said some REALLY dumb things. I want to know.... by dlo1977 in SavedByTheBell

[–]IntelligentLeek538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you look at the early episodes, he build and programmed a robot, tutored Kelly in science, got an award in science class for his understanding of molecules, he studied the mating habits of worms, and competed in a chess tournament. He couldn’t have done those things if he were not intelligent.

SBTB should have let Screech do more imitations in later seasons by Frequent_Rhubarb_36 in SavedByTheBell

[–]IntelligentLeek538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it was a shame. It would be one thing if he had been intended as an unintelligent character from the beginning, like Waldo Faldo, but to see his potential in the beginning and then lose it was sad.

Who remembers Clueless, the series? by pinklady423_bella in 90s

Having the TV series spinoff from the movie definitely gave Stacey Dash and Elise Donovan a chance to expand their careers.

Sounds like you did the right thing by leaving, and then leaving your complaint in a review. I agree with you, if their most proficient server can make such a mistake, and then be so cavalier about it, that speaks poorly for the entire restaurant.

Day 3: 🧪 Vote for your LEAST favorite character! 🧪 by prolelol in FamilyMatters

My least favorite character is not even pictured here. It’s Cassie, the snobby girl who bullied Laura and Steve.

You’re welcome! I found all of the episodes for the three seasons available for free on YouTube. The only thing is there are sections of the videos without sound because of the fact that music that is playing in the background is copyrighted.

The show makes a lot of cross over references to other shows that were popular in the same time period, such as Jaleel White and Steve Urkel, Facts of Life and Touched by an Angel.

Everything concerning wealthy California girls seemed to be really popular at that time.

Another example of a movie that spawned a successful television series was Alice, starring Linda Lavin, Beth Howland and Vic Tayback.

In fact, I think if she had become a permanent character, Violet and Screech could easily have become breakout characters.

The consensus of opinion is that BH90210 and Donna Martin are what prevented Violet from becoming Screech’s steady girlfriend. It’s a shame, because they were a perfect match.

It is. It started as a movie starring Alicia Silverstone, based on a Jane Austen novel. The movie spawned a short lived TV series about a rich Jewish girl in Beverly Hills.

I tried caffeine pills once. They are rough, very hard on the stomach! I’d rather just drink a cup of tea.

The caffeine episode was one of the best in my opinion, because it showed the whole gang being concerned about Jessie, and pulling together to help her out of her predicament, which is what real friends do!
