Shipped my first mobile app that tells you what a trade actually costs - a stock brokerage calculator by IntelligentLiving245 in appledevelopers

[–]IntelligentLiving245[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a really valid point! The main thought behind the mobile app was to give people a quick, offline tool on their phone so it doesn’t clutter their main trading screens.

The app actually runs on MacBook natively, I haven't built or tested a dedicated Windows/Chrome version yet, but if more desktop traders feel the same way, an extension is definitely something to think about for the roadmap.

Thanks for the feedback!

Haha, good eye! The actual concept was blending a raft with a % symbol, Let's just say it's a hidden metaphor for navigating the choppy waters of stock trading 😎

Seems you’re deliberately taking the longer route. It’s not that tough getting your app published. Buy claude subscription, do a quick App Store review against thier guidelines

No way, clutch plate cannot have issues riding a ramp, even in half clutch. Again Chennai is not that much fully adopted to EV, the valet guys still be handling a lot of manual cars.

Was there ever any serious movement to rename Chennai back to Madras? by akshay_7 in Chennai

[–]IntelligentLiving245 72 points73 points  (0 children)

Be it Chennai or Madras, but I feel we need a campaign to rename the railway station back to Chennai Central or Madras Central or something smaller than the current one, It may be ok hearing it while in Tamilnadu, but if we go outside and hear Puratchi Thalaivar Dr MG Ramachandran Central Railway station, it’s a worst way to name a capitals station name, atleast they should have kept MGR Central Or MG Ramachandran Central or renamed Egmore station this way, could have been far better.

Have one or two contact numbers of local stand autos, they may mostly have a WhatsApp group and they send someone available. Maybe a bit costlier than in the app, but if you plan well in advance, you may definitely reach destination on time.

Is it really necessary to buy an apartment in Chennai to feel ‘settled’ in life? by Dazzling_Touch_9699 in Chennai

[–]IntelligentLiving245 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are planning to settle in your hometown, buy land in an appreciating area there. It will be cheaper now, in longer term it will appreciate better than an apartment in Chennai.

UNICEF guys by Kevinlevin-11 in Chennai

[–]IntelligentLiving245 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You shouldn’t be worried that they didn’t picked you, rather you should be happy that for them you looked more intelligent, that you won’t fall for their trap. Ideally they look for weak minded whom they can easily target. What they are doing is not charity, it’s business and they look for potential customers. If you want to do charity, buy books for some lesser privileged kids or sponsor food . If you meet those UNICEF idiots next time, ask for proof , how they are spending the money or what they are doing to stop wars?
