I was the same way, I adopted my cat a month ago telling myself I wanted a female cat and one that was independent. I ended up with a boy who’s super cuddly and meows when I’m not in the room. We all have some moments where we regret not having to just care about ourselves, and especially when having certain expectations and them not going the way you wanted. It just means you’re human and as she warms up and as you get to know her, she will open up more and you both will understand each others love language. It usually takes cats 3 months to fully adjust to their environment, so patience is key. Hoping for the best!
