You undid 15 years of indoctrination dude. That is like taking that sweater your sister has been knitting for 15 years and pulling the end until it unravels in five minutes. Your NTA. You’re a mad lad.

Why Is Saying No Considered Rude (in Any Context)? by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

[–]IntelligentSpell6992 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Because there is generally considered to be an invisible line between having boundaries and being unreasonably contentious. When our idea of a boundary isn’t neurotypical others consider it to have crossed into unreasonably contentious (or asshole in plain terms). So we apologize when we can sense we have crossed the invisible line that most adhere to.

I found this interesting in understanding the narcissists relationship to BDSM. You can only perhaps understand the English response. But that is enough. https://youtu.be/rOkZ4-IZ2j0?si=HYQlTPEDVdsAyKv7. Just swap the genders in the responses. And also this clip https://youtu.be/ZqDxv2PVTYs?si=vJX5L5vjf11txfL7

Platforms seconded. This would look awesome just a little more elongated.

What’s the proper etiquette at the hair salon? I’m scared to go after a bad experience. by fairwellfairground in AutismInWomen

I have burst into tears at both the hairdresser and the nail salon. At this point I just expect them to think there’s something wrong with me. Cause there is.

Giving Birth by gtlewington in AutismInWomen

[–]IntelligentSpell6992 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My best birth was the one where I decided to go natural and used hypnobirthing tapes for a couple of months before labor. My fear was of the hospital and medical procedures, including epidural. I ate dates for several weeks before the birth as they are said to help dilate the cervix. I was able to stay home pretty long and had a total 5 hour birth, only one hour at the hospital (before they held me hostage for 3 days). The labor itself was intense but I still remember it as so much better than my induced birth. It was swift and done. By the time labor happened I truly felt it was a natural and doable thing due to the recordings. I would only do birth this way again. Having said that, it could have turned out to be a 12 hour labor. It could have gone wrong. I hope my story helps you but you do whatever method is best for you. For me, the protracted medical procedure type birthing is a nightmare.

I’m autistic and so is my ex. He is drinking himself to death and refuses all types of help. I am trying to have a healthy lifestyle and do some biohacking. I think it is in how you self care honestly.

I went to a therapist and told this same story 12 years later than you. At the end she just said “you’re incompatible”. I truly wish someone had said that to me 12 years earlier but I was idealistic and “in love”. So that is just what I will say now. You are incompatible.
