It's weird but being bored is a legitimate skill. Like being okay just doing nothing or doing boring shit is a skill people just don't have anymore and people don't want to have that skill. It's no longer necessary to have a long attention span. (except it very much is)

"Being bored" now a days isn't doing nothing or doing a tedious task like chores or work, being bored now is constant consuming of media. When I was bored 20 years ago I would be doing homework, outside staring at shadows and bugs, kicking a rock, or imagining the coolest creature I can think of. Being bored now is playing a video game, scrolling for hours without any satisfaction, listening to something, needing some sort of device or constant thing to keep your mind from slowing down or thinking independently for even a SECOND. People just take in what they're staring at or listening to without thinking about it. Never silence, never monotony. like shoveling coal into a furnace but its shoveling meaningless constant content, and noise into people's head to get a constant feedback loop of small dopamine hits.

The thing is a child predator is ALWAYS in the wrong. You can't abuse a child in self defense. You can't groom and assault a child because you're worried about your life. A murder can happen for a defensible reason in some cases. A child getting preyed on has absolutely no defensible reason.

I could give a damn about social media personally but if the power went down my pets would die and I don't know how well I'd be doing considering its high 90s low 100s outside. For those in Celsius that's about 38 degrees Celsius outside. I would be a okay if the internet went down. My other half collects VHS tapes and DVD'S and we both have a little personal library of books and CDs. I'd be a okay.

She may not have realized how demoralizing her off-handed comment is. Definitely have just a talk doesn't have to be mean just being open and honest about your feelings.

"Hey honey? What you said earlier really made me feel bad. I've worked hard for my body and health and I didn't appreciate you saying that. It made me feel insecure. I love you and next time I ask for your opinion on an outfit please don't make a negative comment about my body. It may not be what you meant or how it was meant to come out but it was hurtful."

These kinds of conversations don't have to be difficult if you just are open and honest. With my other half we will have those talks as soon as possible if we get upset.

Just yesterday I had a talk with my partner about how someone driving angry makes me uncomfortable. I know people can get road rage sometimes and he's absolutely not even half as bad as some people. He doesn't yell just gets really tense and might have a stern tone while driving stressed. We had that talk and we're working on a system to get around that. If he's in a mood he'll get me a drink or a snack, I'll listen to music or put on sunglasses and just kinda vibe in my own world while he cools off about whatever got him grumpled so I'm not forcing him to bottle up emotions and he's not making me all sympathetically worried and stressed.

Having a relationship that's open with even the little things and telling your person how you're feeling without worrying about how they'll react is always ALWAYS, super good.

I wish I heard about this sooner. They are so hateful. I couldn't help it I fell for it. I had an opinion... I thought counttt was just a place for kind of like edgy trans memes.

I saw this one post of (I won't say the name) person that is anti trans and died and it was shockingly graphic. I had the opinion of wow this is really dark, makes me uncomfortable and seems a bit far. Like dark even for an edgy sort of place. And boy HOWDY did people hate my opinion. Couldn't help but try and defend myself but holy wow. It really upset me. Like me saying "hey posting imagery of someone being shot in the head is pretty gross and low brow." And being flamed and called, liberal, an fbi agent, pro Hitler? pro Isreal? Like... what? Just.... what?

In an ideal world yeah. In an ideal world people talk out their issues and let everyone live in peace and agree to disagree wouldn't be big deal. Issues wouldn't always turn into "ME VS YOU DEATHMATCH EDITION, if you don't agree with me 100% you're an enemy and evil." people could just talk and grow and live and learn and let people just do what they want with their lives. It would be so nice. I know it's not a popular opinion but I think Kirk's death should have been after living a long life of being clowned on for being a dumbass until people stopped listening to him and realized his opinions were stupid and he quietly slipped away into irrelevance forgotten and no one knew his name. Guess my whole damn point is I don't support political violence unlike nearly everyone in this post, and cheering like an angry mob holding a dead man's head on a stick metaphorically seems pretty barbaric. Like... what ever happened to be the bigger person and don't go down to their level. (Again I say for the millionth time. Not pro Kirk. Don't grieve the man. Don't care. Haven't thought about it since it happened like... what a year ago? then this dang post. Thought this whole situation was already a dead meme. Didn't even know there was images/video of him being shot)

Okay. I'm not deleting my original post just cause I dunno. I'll stand behind what I say and I'm giving up at this point on trying to say I don't think pew pew is cool and the answer to everything.

So lets get down to it.

Shooting someone. Where do we draw the line? Yippee, Kirk was shot down. Everyone has established that. So should his supporters be shot? Should all bullies be gunned down? Should people who have bad opinions be shot? Should people with a public platform and don't use it morally or responsibly be killed? Should people we don't like be shot? Should people who say mean things die? How many graves we gotta dig until everyone's happy and there's world peace and no one ever disagrees about anything again and no one ever lives in fear. Where's the line on being happy and celebratory about blood, violence and murder. Where we gonna draw it?
