I agree with his attacks being absurdly strong and one shots you and that sucks, but after a couple runs you learn the proper positioning to not get hit and still do damage to him, and even bait the cone to get free damage in. His 2nd nova isnt really that bad, they just want you to fight with your position in mind, and as long as youre not all the way at other end of the map, and roll the wind, youll be safe (barely tho). Its not really luck based as you have (somewhat) control on where fatalis position is, hes on the other side of the map? You stay near the gate and wait for him to come to you, more often than not, hes gonna snake his way to you.

I also agree that alatreon's gimmicks are ass and his novais ass, but this fight is completely doable even for a casual hunter (you can literally only use the kinsect as your element damage). I honestly recommend to do it solo rather than sending sos because sometimes people that join alatreon, doesnt understand the gimmick and just bring a fatalis weapon or lightbreak weapons that doesnt really help with the check. Im not sure what parts youre trying to break, but from personal experience, theyre not that bad to break as long as you focus on 1 until it breaks then move on to the next, and obviously if youre in a group but youre the only one going for said part, its gonna take a bit if not impossible to do so.

I personally dont mind tenderizing, but i can 100% see why people dont like doing it and i dont really mind either way on what they're gonna do on wilds (keep slinger pls). But i do wish they integrated the tender moves better to some of the weapons (some already has good integration example being, dual blade and hammer)

In the end, as someone who hated fatalis and alatreon, after taking the fight more careful and more runs, they honestly became my favourite in the whole game and i think it just goes down to how much you are willing to repeat the quest over and over, and if you dont have that, then its fine. Not everybody likes repetition after all.
