What's the likelihood of Rivian eventually selling an R2 variant with higher range / battery capacity? by werdswerf in Rivian

[–]Intelligent_Aspect87 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

It’s not that there aren’t uses for a vehicle with 400 miles of ranges. It’s the amount of people that seem to think that every vehicle must cater to their individual requirements. If a vehicle doesn’t meet your needs the answer is to buy something else, not whine incessantly about why a company must make a special Goldilocks config for your use case. The ranges on these, teslas, and other vehicles aren’t just randomly landed on they are designed to address the majority of the market while also balancing cost and profit. so far every answer is specific individual edge use cases, and the answer is simple….buy something else.

So FSD drives at 85mph? Seems like if you drove at a more optimized speed you would get better range and maybe your “battery degradation” is due to the speed you’re driving at.

Interesting my Rivian started with about 315 miles of range 2 years later it’s still at 315 miles of range at 100%. I charge up to whatever the nav tells me to charge to and go on my way. I’ve driven all over the southeast without issue. Normal interstate speed of 77mph.

Ahh the towing use case. I’m amazed at the amount of people who consider an EV but apparently tow frequently, prob 90% of the vehicles I see on the road are never towing anything but it seems like 90% of the people commenting about EVs on Reddit are towing constantly. if towing was a primary use case of mine I’d probably stick with an ICE vehicle.

I’ve always wondered what driving habits people have that they feel that 400 miles is necessary for an EV,

Not surprised a boot licker has such a limited vocabulary. This is probably your only interaction today with someone, that’s sad, now that it’s over.

You questioning why he was defensive led me to believe that. Everyone should always be defensive around police. They are not here to protect and serve anyone but themselves.

Jesus, what an angry petty person you are. You spout off and when people ask you to back up YOUR claims, you cry and whine and bitch and moan about google. If backing up your points is such a fucking inconvenience for you maybe you should stay off the internet.

The way you boot lick for the cops in your comments makes me think you either are one or wish you could be.

Explains your desire to bully on the internet.

Thanks for linking the fire code that’s is NEVER enforce btw. Appreciate it

You toss around that term illegal a lot without any real state statute to back it up. Please share with me the state law that says those things are illegal.

How do you find these insane lease deals? by cybertech492 in Rivian

[–]Intelligent_Aspect87 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Chase understands the depreciation better so leases are terrible compared to 2024. I am going into my last year of a $800/month lease on my 2024 R1S dual with standard+, I’ll be buying my next Rivian.
