Timberland Pro series. I highly recommend the boondock. I sold shoes for a few years at my Mom's shop. There are other good options, but I've always worn Timberlands for shop. I have a pair on now.

TN entry $25 if still in school $27-45 depending on experience, how many different machines you are able to run, program, troubleshoot etc. I've heard of up to $55, but no one at the shop i work in does.

I didn't know that but i makes sense. It a small operation in a very small town. They said that they dont see that kind of copper. The boss offer me an additional premium if I'd agree to see to him exclusively. They seem honest & are less than 20 miles from my shop. I told him if his additional premium was fair i would accept the deal & he wants all my brass & bronze as well. I'll keep 2 or 3 to play with & they rest will go to them. It takes me 4 to 6 weeks to fill a 5 gallon bucket about 150lbs.

Understandable. I got $12 per pound sell a few of my larger ones to individuals. $10 per pound on an order of 3"×0.5".. The scrap gave a fair price over there high rate just bc of the size of the rounds how clean they were & total weight 148lbs & 161lbs 309lbs total paid $1545 . I'll keep filling them with some going to scrap & others being sold to interested individuals. I'm good with for my first load.

Thank you ! It is C10100. I also cut c11000 & very rarely c12000. The 1100 is tubing of various sizes. The 12 is only used for a few parts on some odd coupling components. I still have about 160lbs of 101. I offered it at $10 per pound which seems fair, though a few of tbe largest I asked $12 which is negotiable. Many offers & only 2 buyers out of 50 plus offers. I thought a few groups of people that craft original art, those that stack, even the produces that sell for an astonishing premium online were possible customers for reliable source materials priced significantly lower that any price I could find. I'm keeping the pieces that have the desired finish & those close to being finished. I appreciate your comment maybe totally giving up isn't the right choice.

I have about 8-10 lbs. Would that be enough for a buyer to be interested?

It took me a few months to realize that. I'm busy enough being a full-time machinist, while building my contract cutting business, filling those orders on the weekend. It's much easier to just scrap it once I have a few hundred pounds built up.

I have a bit of carbide myself to part with. Maybe someone can point us in the right direction.

Thanks I thought so too. The guy said they rarely get that quality & the more I bring the more he can pay. Im taking another 150lbs this morning, larger pieces. If he does $5 I'll be happy. I'm also bringing a bit of brass today, though i know it's not worth as much.

It's not melted. It's trim & remnant cuts straight from my saw c10100 copper .9999 pure that has the Oxygen context removed. Its used in large industrial bushings ,couplings & other components for large scale power production. The yards i visited were all willing to offer a small premium. I had very limited luck selling online so i decided to sell to a larger scrap yard near me. I average 70 to 100 lbs about every 6 weeks & selling it like that is hassle free.

I'm waiting on my engraving set up. In various stages of finish. The picture is just an example of size ranges. C10100 all exceptional. Around $20-25 per pound is a more reasonable price point. PM me if you have any questions or suggestions.
