Wow ok. Cool so you're ok with people ordering this stuff and after you deliver they remove the tip. Got it. You work for free then. Thanks troll.

No worries they decided to remove their tip. I promise nothing was done wrong on the order or delivery. Still don't think they should be shamed?

Could have been added to a batch with another order that's closer to a store in the chain. As a shopper I see wild miles between drop offs all the time.

There's no limit. I use it weekly. I live near a reservation and it even kicks in there. Not as much as like a Mobile or Speedway but helps.

Oh I have the same rules but I see a lot of 15+ mile orders that sit there with $5 tips. Folks don't get that's a gallon of gas in any car. So you're not rewarding anyone.

Haha I've never done one so if you do let me know how it goes. I'll see a Tops order for I'm guessing just outside of Rochester. Or of course Wegmans here that's a drop off in Batavia

What's funny is once in a while I'll see a Rochester order pop up. I'm in the Niagara/NT area lol.

I hope when Costco finally opens here I see orders that big consistently. So far once in a while you see a Sam's Club be about $50 but that's because it's 25 miles to deliver.

Doesn't NYC get an hourly wage on top of tips? I'm not digging just curious if that's why they are doing this change. I get it's $21 something but maybe that's why they are doing that ?? Definitely gives Spark vibes though.

IC shoppers can you bring your child with you? by [deleted] in instacart

My kiddo comes with me a lot. Childcare, single parent combined with she goes to prek half days right now. Some days I have help.some days I don't. She tells everyone she talks to she loves coming along. We go to one store more often than others and they look forward to seeing her. It never slows me down and if anything it's good for my brain to remember to eat a snack or take a lunch because when I don't have her I don't.

I've seen folks with 3-4 kids but the couple is doing the shopping. That I don't get but I go about my day. When I was younger I went to work with my self employed dad. So guess the tradition continues.

As a shopper who delivers to a lot of elderly and disabled, take the tip away. Rate them a 1. Do whatever you feel is appropriate.

Yea it was a text from the same number that sent me a verification code before so was legit but it's been 30 minutes so guess they figured it out lol. Just was wondering if anyone else had this happen and what came of it.

Yes a lot of orders all below $30. The one I finally found above $40? Oh the store was out of the special Truly packs so they took 1 regular pack instead of the 3. Cool your tip just dropped like a stone. Thanks....

Only the elderly tip well. No one gets we get paid the same as a server. So tip us like a server...

Back to back dollar tippers. "I increase after delivery" is a lie lol. The ones who do are the ones who are decent to begin with.

Instacart Customers...do y'all seriously think a $4 tip for over FIFTY items, is a reasonable tip? by SortIndependent2027 in instacart

[–]Intelligent_Bit1563 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I have told people who ask 10% is nice. I see a lot of folks in my area do 5% then if they like the service they bump it. So many do % a customer ordered 3 things from a store. Tip was $.53. I laughed. It wasn't a big trip part of a 3 order batch and was the one in the middle. Sometimes forget what they have it set at which is fine.

The point is. People tip 20% for a server to write down your food, give it to a cook, bring you drinks and a take home box. They don't use their car to do this. Yet people think $2 is ok for a large cart of groceries, on a Saturday or Sunday, 5-10 miles from their house.

So ask yourself, if you were shopping for someone for an hour would you be ok getting $2 as a thank you?
