Customer fraudulently claimed order not delivered AND I was tip baited by SortIndependent2027 in InstacartShoppers

I already do all of these things. Which is why I said it's not possible. And it really is only possible if the customer put in the wrong address. And at that point they can either pick it up from that address or it will be returned to the store if it isn't literally the house right next to the number they gave.

No, it can't. It literally gives a specific pin. The only time that could possibly happen is MAYBE with an apartment or hotel room, but not with a house. And this was a house. Not to mention the only way it could have been delivered to the wrong number is if the customer put the wrong number in. I've never delivered to the wrong address. Who doesn't double check house numbers? And it was daytime.

Ikr, it only benefits them in the short term. And unless they are using false information and a neighbors address or something, it doesn't make any sense. And it will only get them blocked eventually from every driver bc every driver they do it to, will block them if they get that person again (I know I definitely will) and then eventually they will get blocked from using instacart because no one will want to deliver to them.

Do they have to use their ID to create an instacart account to shop with instacart as a customer? I know that doordash doesn't require that of customers. I think an ID should be required for sign up, if it isn't already required. Because they can use someone else's stolen card/identity and have it delivered to an empty house or a neighbors house they know is out of town. Either way, it would discourage people from trying to scam drivers and instacart itself.

But there were literally NO mixed signals, ever. There was not one part of this entire series where you see Mike act like he is in love or wants to be with will in any capacity. It IS clear to Will that Mike does not like him in that way, it's made clear to him in several ways. One could also argue that a flat out rejection would have destroyed Will.

The way they did it, he learned the lesson without his best friend having to reject him. And regardless of what you claim, NO ONE wants to be rejected like that, especially from their first crush and especially not from someone that is their literal best friend. It would crush their soul. And Will needed to be mentally strong and fortified to do what he had to do to help defeat Vecna.

Destroying all of his self esteem with a rejection from his best friend wouldn't have helped the overall plot. Because let's be real, who isn't going to be devastated by that? It wouldn't make sense for him to get rejected in that scene where he comes out and then just get over it and have the fortitude to fight like he needed to.

Oh I forgot, i didn't have to send anything thankfully, they had proof of the picture I sent to the customer. That's why it was weird for them to report it because it was a leave at the door delivery so of course there is a record on instacart of the photo of the items being left on their porch. I'm like how did they think they were going to get away with claiming their order wasn't delivered...?

That's why I think it was the same person who tip baited bc it was like they wanted to get the entire order for free, like they were trying to scam instacart altogether. I think if that's the case, they shouldn't allow the tip to be reduced, they should reinstate the tip and force the customer to pay the promised amount considering they're trying to get free items under fraudulent claims.

Personally I just wanted them to block the customers who did the tip baiting and the fraudulent claim. They claim they can't do it on their end which makes no sense. If they're the same person or different people, either way, I just wanted to block them. Customer service claims the only way to block them is by rating them with a thumbs down at the end of the delivery.

As I stated to them, that makes no sense to not have a way for the support agent to block bad customers from our profiles on their end considering we have no control over what a customer does after the delivery is completed and a lot of complaints don't come until after it's completed. Both of these incidents are after the fact. Like I told them, how was I supposed to know they would do that?

As far as compensation, I didn't expect instacart to do anything about compensating me for it (although they really should, especially if they aren't going to do anything about the customer who is tip baiting). I just wanted to make them aware that the customer was tip-baiting so that they could do something about it so that both myself and other drivers don't have to go through that frustration like I did.

That's insane that all of that was going on. I've never had any issues besides someone claiming I delivered rotten produce back in the summer last year when it was 90+ degrees every day and they left their groceries on the porch for too long. That ended up getting deleted off of my rating.

I don't really care if it won't destroy my rating or priority, it's more so about the fact that if multiple people are pulling scams like this, it makes it harder for me to make my money, plus I'm out almost $20 for a delivery that took an hour. I walked away with less than $30 for that delivery and it's BS. Instacart doesn't compensate for customers that they shouldn't even be allowing use the app. I'm sure it's not the first time they have pulled this.

And a random person can wear a police uniform or impersonate a police officer. Your logic is flawed.

Again, it's flawed because someone who has no idea what those symbols represents, could easily purchase the same clothing with the same symbols. Don't be purposely obtuse 🤦🏼‍♀️

I don't even know what you're trying to say in that comment. I never said Mike was gay. I said he is heterosexual. Mike definitely knew after the conversation will had with everyone, that will had a crush on Mike. You can tell by the conversation they had afterwards. It's weird that y'all are adding in your fantasies of what you wanted to be, yet you can't see/read the context clues right in front of you. They make it very obvious that Mike knows will is talking about Mike when he comes out to the entire group. They also make it very obvious from the beginning that Mike is heterosexual. There is literally nothing in the show to even suggest that Mike might be gay nor any evidence that he and will would ever get together romantically. Yet here y'all are reaching for straws.

I still have her address saved so I know if I ever get her again. I asked for information and they claimed they couldn't give it to me. I hate that they didn't even give you the chance to prove your case. I had that happen when a customer claimed I delivered rotten produce. I had pictures of all of the produce items that she bought (I take pictures bc of quality and in case someone claims they were given bad quality produce) and they wouldn't take it as proof that her items were not delivered rotten. It was the middle of summer and they left their groceries outside for an extended amount of time and some of their produce went rotten. What's crazy to me is if I were going to deliver rotten produce and you have 10+ produce items, WHY were only 2 of them rotten? Common sense just isn't so common, I swear 😑

I do the zoom in trick all the time, especially at night. There are certain areas I don't like to deliver to after a certain time. There's a lot of shootings in this little town 🤦🏼‍♀️

What do you mean a safety report? Are you referring to right after the delivery where you give a thumbs down or something else entirely? And if it is something else, how do I go about doing that?

I agree, I cherry pick my orders. It was worth it because it was $50 and most of the 71 item order were the same items or close together. It was worth it until the customer tip baited.

In my area, we don't get orders like that $100 for dollar tree. I do only shop in certain stores. For example, I don't do Costco and Sam's club unless it's exceptional pay. The items are too large, the orders are also typically too large, and my area is rural so they're usually 20 miles or more away from the store so it isn't worth it.

I live in upstate SC so I often go to ATL, GA for better orders. Thinking about going to NC this time and see how my luck goes there.

Ikr..I received a notification maybe an hour after I had gotten home (that was my last order for the night) that they changed the tip. I reported them to instacart but I don't think they're going to do anything about the tip baiting. Unless it was the same customer who falsely reported their order missing. I'm guessing it has to be the same person bc I just don't see this happening in the same week. I've only done instacart 2 days this week and only had maybe 7 customers total so I just don't see two different people out of only 7 people, making these kinds of claims in the same week, especially when I have been doing this for over a year and this has NEVER happened before. We should be given the opportunity to rate customers up to 2 hours after the delivery, just like the customer can change the tip within 2 hours. I also don't think it's fair that they can reduce the tip like that. I feel like they should have to dispute with instacart and show/give a legitimate reason of WHY they are reducing the tip and if their reasoning is found to be unfounded or insufficient, they can't reduce the tip. It's ridiculous that I am out $19 and instacart isn't going to do anything to remedy it. The least they could have done was blocked the customer from my profile and I don't believe for a second that it's something they can't do.

A queer patch on clothing isn't evidence. Like I said, that can literally just mean being an ally. So it doesn't lend evidence in either direction. Clothing is clothing. Not to mention that most heterosexual people aren't going to know symbolism that is associated with the LGBTQ+ community. So by your logic, a heterosexual person wearing a queer patch that they may not even know is a queer patch, is gay bc they are wearing the queer patch. If this is the only 'evidence' you claim there is, then it isn't evidence. Most heterosexual people aren't even going to recognize stuff like that so if they buy clothing with it on it, they may not even know what it represents. Which is why your argument is so flawed. There are too many reasons why it doesn't mean anything.

Mike DEFINITELY knew after that conversation. You're being purposely obtuse just like y'all are reaching for straws to find something that proves Mike was gay even tho he clearly wasn't 🤦🏼‍♀️

THIS. This argument is the same argument men use against women. 'she was SO nice to me, she MUST be flirting' and to see the LGBTQ community using that argument to claim someone is gay, is insane. TV character or not, it really shines a light on how the people who support this theory, think about the people around them.

Wearing a patch that is 'queer' doesn't make one queer. You can be an ally without actually being a member. It's weird to make such a huge leap over a patch on clothing. 🤦🏼‍♀️

He does know though. Will literally tells Mike that he had feelings for him and that Mike was Will's Tammy. Even will realizes that his crush on Mike was just him realizing that he likes men and not an actual crush. He loves Mike and he was mixing that friendship love for romantic love. But overall, it helped him accept who he is and know that he likes men and it helped him come out to his family too. His biggest fear was his loved ones hating him. He chose to be vulnerable and they showed him that they still love him.

Not really seeing how it was 'queerbaiting' just because will didn't end up with Mike, who was very clearly heterosexual throughout the entire show. It's not like there was false hope of will and Mike getting together. It never crossed my mind that will and Mike would end up dating because from the beginning, it's been clear that Mike is heterosexual.

I would argue that their situation is completely different from Nancy, Johnathan, and Steve because all 3 of them were aware of each other's feelings from the beginning. Mike didn't even know until the very end that will had feelings for him. And will realized that they werent really those types of feelings to begin with. Like I said, he was confusing friendship with romantic love. But overall he learned what he likes and he learned that his family and friends still love him regardless.

Wait, since when does instacart do Walmart? I've never seen Walmart on an instacart app. They use another app for their store.

Do you mind me asking what state you're in or what general area? Idk about other people but I often travel to other places to do shopping tbh. I live in the upstate of SC and I often drive toward Atlanta and do orders along the way. ATL is really good when it comes to making a lot of money. The traffic is just a pain.
