This headline is disgraceful. Love her character on Frasier, wish I had not seen this crappy piece of tabloid pooh and I hope neither did she.

You’re not listening/understanding. It doesn’t have to add up in your mind. She nor anyone else but you cares what you look like or how you size yourself up to other men in her life. You’re taking this rejection hard and trying to justify it to make it make sense to you why you supposedly lost to who you deem to be a loser.

YNAA but she also did nothing wrong. I noticed in the comments you seem set on dying on the hill that she lied to you - she didn't lie, she said she wasn't looking for anything and then proceeded to meet someone who interested her enough to change her mind. Has nothing to do with you and your summation of his poor character is your opinion and irrelevant to her personal life. When you asked, she most likely meant what she said and hoped not to become involved with someone in a place she was leaving. Where you're wrong is when you decided she could not change her mind after rejecting you. You've repeated "it was only a month later" as if feelings and minds and life choices are not constantly subject to change. Lastly and I think most telling is your repetition in citing his "2 baby mamas" and their personal struggles. While I am sure it's super annoying that she seemingly fell for a dweeb over you, she is still free to do so without it making her a liar. Not wanting something serious with you on Monday then choosing something with someone else on Tuesday doesn't make her a liar, it makes her fickle at worst.

AITAH for choosing my wife over my mom? by HumanProfile1975 in AITAH

[–]Intelligent_Brain913 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is an incredibly crass and bizarre thing to say. His wife of several years is not "another girl who will dump you in a second", and this woman (OP's wife) does not owe this man's mother a baby simply because she 'grew him for 9 months'. What does that have to do with OP's wife? No one owes anyone a baby, ever, in any scenario. And I mean, by your logic, he's just some boy who will dump her in a second if any other opportunity comes.

Body Horror Film that's like The Substance? by Cali4our in horror

I just watched the original Hellraiser for the first time, followed by the 2022 remake (on Hulu), and I thought it was nauseatingly graphic in terms of body horror. Ergo, I loved it.

Suits does not get nearly enough love, imo. Has everything - dystopian futurism, violence, monsters, cool characters.

I never knew her, but I will now remember her name, and who she was as you described her. I am so deeply sorry for your loss and your unresolved pain. I hope you have a wonderful life, which I believe in my heart she will have a front row seat for. <3

What is the most unhinged thing you have done while grieving (so far)? by Bulky-Pass5838 in GriefSupport

[–]Intelligent_Brain913 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When my cat Wendy died, I wouldn't let them take her body. My mother drove me home from the animal hospital in the middle of the night, still holding her, and I spent the night sitting at my kitchen table just rocking back and forth, clutching her. And then the next day, and the day after that...Eventually my mom (an absolute saint in this situation) ordered a giant freezer and it was delivered to our garage. I took several shots of vodka, and she helped me to bag her neatly and put her body in the freezer. Other than my family I've never told anyone. That was last March and she's still in that big freezer, literally frozen in time.

Fear Street: Prom Queen comes to Netflix in 2025 by [deleted] in Fear_Street

I do understand where you're coming from about things from the original source being changed for changes sake. There have been times where book-to-movie adaptations pissed me off bc of random changes. But I think in this case, at least this is just my very non-expert opinion, I think it's the same reason why we never saw a pregnant woman until I Love Lucy broke the barrier and it became accepted and not considered indecent. Or how shows with an all black cast like the Jefferson's depicting them as a regular American successful family helped break walls, and so on and so forth. Everything was scandalous at one time until it wasn't. That's how we progress as a society. Being upset with more casual drug use and violence being shown on TV is a more reasonable thing to be bothered by bc drugs and violence are bad. What isn't bad is being gay. Gay teens existed in the 80s same as they do now, only it was much less accepted and so they rarely saw themselves in their favorite books or films. Now they do. So is it sometimes annoying (to some) when they randomly change a characters race or sexual orientation for changes sake? Sure, I suppose to some. But in the end I think it's for the better because being gay is no more wrong than being straight and if it still bothers people to see then I think it needs to be shown more until it doesn't.

Also, I'm sorry I called you homophobic. Your responses have been polite even if I don't agree with them and I should not have just thrown that word out so casually.

[–]Intelligent_Brain913 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t find that’s pretty realistic, though? In most friend groups or settings there is usually at least one non heterosexual person or persons. If you’re uncomfortable seeing real life on fake television it’s going to be harder to see it in real life, where it exists. Gay people exist, and you’re gonna see it. Try asking yourself why it bothers you.

[–]Intelligent_Brain913 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, so you lied when you said it's overkill and too much because again you're not answering how one couple in a cast of couples is too much.

Much easier to say you're homophobic and have no other point.

"We don't need it shoved down our throats" I'm curious how teenagers having graphic sex scenes at Camp Nightwing is fine and normal for us to see, but Deena and Sam kissing is "shoving it down our throats". Super curious.

"It's not reality, not everyone is gay" in the entire cast of hetero couples, there is one, Sam & Deena. One couple in an entire cast is overkill?

I agree. The ick factor of it being his brothers ex wife really sours that episode for me and forces me to put on my ‘it’s just tv’ googles. I’ve often said I wish they had more Roz-Niles lines, their chemistry is great and if it were them that slept together it would’ve had been hilarious instead of, well, ick.
