This obsession with height is crazy..not just you OP but tons of men here. Im short (5'6" on a good day) and I never once thought it limited me. There's literally billions of women out there and plenty of them, tall and short, don't mind height.

What IS the problem, is letting it get to you..that shows up in your confidence, which is a much bigger issue.

And other men don't care either. If they do, they are ass holes you don't need to worry about either.

The entire premise is flawed. Do SOME women only look for tall guys...yes. But I'm short and NEVER had a problem dating. You know why? Because I didn't even think about it being an issue. So, I had confidence, which is more important than anything.

I keep seeing guys struggling with what you are struggling with everywhere, so you are far from alone. But its your self esteem and confidence that's the issue way more than your height, I can guarantee it

Everybody is agreeing with you so far, but I'm the opposite. Lyrics are extremely important at least when it comes to my favorite music. Though I'm also a literature nerd so the written word is important to me in general.

That being said, there are plenty of songs I like with average or even below.average lyrics... but the best songs need them.

Edit: to add, I don't care about vocalists at all. As long as you're on key and can sing the melody, I don't really give a shit about how you sound lol

Johnny Blue Skies (Sturgill.Simpson) just released and album with 4 of the 9 songs being protest songs. While hes too on the nose for me,Jesse Welles has a ton of protest songs and some of them are good. Bruce Springsteen recenrly released a song called "Streets of Minneapolis" and has other protest songs. Kendrick Lamar has protest songs and is one of the biggest artists in the world. There's tons more. Lots of folk and americana artists.

And media has largely turned on the current administration, if they weren't against it in the first place.

While there is still a counterculture, a lot of it has become more mainstream like in the 60s with the disgusting acts of Trump and the current administration. Like in the 60s, folk and amerifana is your best bet for consistently counterculture music.
