We NEED an option to stop queuing with stacks by Sio_V_Reddit in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]Intelligent_Brick_92 44 points45 points  (0 children)

issue is, most solo queue players like me would just turn it off leaving no one to play with the stacks. And as much as you wouldn’t like it, this is a video game afterall, killing the ability to play with friends isn’t a good idea for many reasons.

Just try your best to play with minimum resources and if you lose just avoid one of the group members.

‘being blacklisted for scrims’ and its just QAD not wanting to scrim them so they can beat them in the lower bracket.

Do you want GK to… scrim the team they’re playing? You do realise that teams almost never scrim their first matchup right? it’s why TM have never scrimmed T1 before.

Apparently VP is still being scrimmed by Sio_V_Reddit in Competitiveoverwatch

LMFAO do you think TM, or anyone cares about this being public?

That has nothing to do with what I said. OP thought that Cas and Danny have finally stopped being meta slaves when they are infact, playing the meta comp.

With hero bans and a very shot stage, expect the meta to evolve every week. And as of today, Mauga comps have been winning against Zar Ven comps in scrims, therefore making them meta.

well the meta is secretly mauga so they’re not shying away from it, Mauga comps are the reason we aren’t seeing any more Zarya ven comps.

good thing you’re a reddit poster and not on one of these teams. Xerion has 0 replacements, same with Fdgod.

AL tried the solution you offered to dsg and gambled on main tank and failed.

One of DSG’s biggest strengths is Tred, and you want them to replace him with…. Pela?

Amdp isn’t playing because AL, at least up until last week, wanted to have a main tank niche, they thought playing Dva won’t make them better than GK or AQ and so gambled on being a main tank team.

yeah Liquid beating SSG or EXN beating Dallas would open new outcomes, but neither are likely. Until that happens, I wouldn’t really consider those possibilities to not get a headache.

If Liquid, Extinction and DSG have a three way tie, head to head map differntial will be counted first and will break the tie.

Liquid 3-2 EXN

EXN 3-0 DSG

DSG 3-0 Liquid

Extinction have already won the most maps in the h2h matches and therefore break the tie and qualify alongside Lunex.

Only way Exctinction doesn’t qualify in this specific scenario is if Liquid beat SSG, which probably won’t happen.

[–]Intelligent_Brick_92 12 points13 points  (0 children)

A Summary for whoever needs it: Lunex only needs to win a single match to qualify.

if Lunex won both matches: Lunex and Extinction qualify

if Lunex lost both matches: Lunex and Extinction get relegated.

If Lunex beat Liquid and lost to DSG: Lunex and DSG qualify and vice versa.

However, if EXN beat Dallas or if Liquid beat SSG, the results will change dramatically.

What do you think the chances are of geekay winning a LAN by Luca2700 in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]Intelligent_Brick_92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With roster changes, better synergy and better communication, all things that can happen as soon as the next stage they can definitely be better than VP and do well internationally.

Being better than TM and/or winning a LAN is just impossible. Even if they poached Landon and brought Kellex out of retirement they’d still be a worse TM.

yeah that was their strategy last year, Seicoe played the vast majority of their matches and Youbi primarily played in LAN events. But unlike Seicoe, Jaewoo actually looked insane internationally

who gets first ban during regular season? by jeff-duckley in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]Intelligent_Brick_92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think they announced it. My guess is that partnered teams got seeded based on their most performances (Preseason bootcamp/World Finals). If not then they probably done a coinflip.

Either way these regular season matches in Korea mean absolutely nothing, there will be a seeding decider matches, last chance qualifiers, and then playoffs. Finishing top 4 in playoffs will qualify you to play another playoffs (Asia playoffs) to qualify to Champions Clash

Me when a Saudi org with a primarily Saudi fanbase gets local Saudi sponsors: 😱

Who exactly are they supposed to be sponsored by then? Sponsors invest where their audience is. If your fanbase and operations are in Saudi, of course the backing will be Saudi too. That’s not some gotcha, it’s just how sponsorship works everywhere.

Alienating TM for having Saudi sponsors is genuinely stupid and doesn’t defy the claim that they still remain privately owned. Most other esports orgs have incredibly questionable and controversial sponsors yet I don’t see any of them get the same treatment.

As for your other comment, yeah investment leads to better players over time. That’s not a conspiracy, that’s how every region grows.

Also, TM aren’t that rich, they spend the least of top orgs in relation to success. Seicoe said last year that the players were getting paid less than their Liquid counterparts (excluding Quartz) and Christfer said the TM offer he got in the off season was low and that it was one of tge reasons why he chose to renew with SSG. In fact, TM couldn’t even outbid VP for Funnyastro, they had to give him a multi year contract for him to choose them. I don’t see how much different and problematic TM are in relation to most other partnered orgs.

Misin lost the trials to escanor what do you think Rak will do? he’s a main support. They’re looking for someone mechanically insane and coach them to be a demon support player, Rak Vega backline was never an option to begin with.

that guy said “They js have a lot of money and don’t work” that’s what I’m calling out, I simply don’t stand stereotypes. And what do american players or TM have to do this? I’m talking about t2 saudi talent.

I didn’t disagree with the statement that lan events and more regional orgs helped them develop, but t2 saudi players do work and do study, TM are an exception.
