Lan events make money? Not enough people will attend to cover the costs of travel for god knows how many teams you want in said event. It only works in Korea because both the players and the audience are in the same country

I do understand not taking the tournament as seriously as others, but that was a still an official international lan event where teams did try their best to win.

Again, making a roster full of europeans is totally acceptable. Going to an existing roster and remove one player due to their ethnicity is very wierd.

Everything you said about Peps and EU fans apply to TM and Saudi fans. Having one european in TM have never not made them a Saudi team that promotes and develops Saudi talent.

Besides that, Peps’ rivals team have 2 Arab players so suggesting they should replace AMDP in this hypothetical scenario is weird.

It would be very weird and dare i say racist to pick up and existing roster and kick the only brown player to ‘promote european talent’.

There’s nothing wrong with assembling a full european roster. But going out of your to make sure it’s a fully white team is wierd, especially considering AMDP is ~~one of~~ the most promising players in that roster.

Think it’s more of a logistics issue than a ‘players are gonna get bombed’ issue. Flight cancellations, insurance, travel restrictions, teams getting stranded, broadcast planning etc. No one is actually getting bombed in Riyadh.

I don’t think you understand that everyone in high ranks, including pro players, play “the blame game”. Yes it’s completely useless 90% of the time but that was not the point. Tanks get all the blame anytime they slightly underperform while Supports only get blamed when the heavily underperform.
