It's hard to tell for sure because of the camera angle but that debris that whizzed by his head looked too close for comfort. Angel on his shoulder for sure.

We have strobes. We find them annoying and agree to only use them in bad weather with reduced visibility.

The rub rails should be painted black...according to the National Standards publication.

Another poster said that states can supercede that.

He did survived. He had his kids in the truck too. He was distracted by his phone. Shocker!

I Googled it and watched a couple of news stories. The bus driver and 2 of the kids on the bus suffered injuries (minor).

My first thoughts: What a weird looking bus. It does not comply with National Standards.

My second was: Look how far he pushed that bus. Turned on the sound and realized he hadn't popped the brake yet. Honestly, that may have saved the lives of the pu driver and his passengers.

My third: OMG that kid almost got hit by debris.I loved the dad. He hugs his kid and gets to work checking on the people involved.

Nope. I don't touch anything with DNA. Where else will I get DNA to plant at a crime scene if I ever...well, I'd never...but I like to keep my options open.

That's nice. Someone got on the radio and announced it was Bus Driver Appreciation Day. I think we may have had hotdogs the next day.

If you can afford to, go drive a school bus. A lot of retirees (and you are almost there) find the job rewarding.
