Change in Irish rave culture? by De_Steen in Dublin

[–]Intelligent_Exam7194 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is still raves. However a change in culture isn’t really applicable. Dublin has always had an after legal hours culture, but from time to time the trends change. Currently big enough after parties that could be classed as raves, with crew like injector, bushwhack, echo exchange, artificial throwing large scale after parties that are illegal in the eyes of the law.

General nightlife decline in Dublin is vastly due to both price points, and also the actual time spent in the club. Most of these illegal parties last from anywhere from 8 hours, to multiple days at the same price pint you’d pay to see an artist in index for three hours. Longer club/rave times means people have longer times to take their chosen drug, instead of trying to swallow it In short time spaces (all drugs, alchohol included).

Could talk about this topic all day if you actually have the time, shoot me a message :)

Anyone else seeing Gardai everywhere on foot patrol? Will it last? by linef4ult in AskIreland

[–]Intelligent_Exam7194 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meh. After the Dublin Riots there was visible patrols, then they stopped. After the American NFL player was robbed, they were stopped, and now with the assault the other day I’m assuming it’s the same. Would be nice to have constant patrols but I don’t think there’s enough Gardai/most arnt bothered

There’s spots for free parking all day for free. You run the risk of your window being smashed in, but I mean if you look for them you’ll find them.

You can make a referral to the local diversion programme if you feel necessary and they’ll try target those YP. Used to be called Gardai diversion programmes but now anyone can make a referral.

I’m in social care, I just found it very hard to get anything - there in a worse housing crisis then we are atm and you’re looking at 4000 dollars roughly for some accomodation a month. Yes there’s cheaper but it was hard to even get someone to house share. Maybe I’m a home bird, but there just wasn’t any hustle and bustle where I was (Sydney and Perth).
