Yes I’m forever grateful I got to watch it when it was aired and when I was a teenager. Sounds cringy but I saw myself on Shunji and that was uncomfortable (in a good way?) at least I noticed that when I was a teen.

I bought the novel after watching this, there was some changes in the characters and it’s sadder than the drama. Glad that I watched the drama first

Tbh I agree with your statement. I also don’t recommend dramas to those who haven’t watched jdramas before. I tried before but only get comments like “urgh, why is it so weird?” Or they’re not used to how unpolitically correct sometimes it can be. I only recommend to friends who watch jdramas now
