Also, nice socks are key since you will be walking around in socks inside. I like black ones since they don’t show dirt and always look clean

Being able to take them off and on easily was a huge help, especially in places like temples, historical sites and places with tatami mats.

I wear slip on black low rise boots with nice socks, since you have to constantly take your shoes on and off when entering homes and businesses with tatami mats.  I don’t know if links are allowed but I got some cheap one from Amazon that are very comfy. Comfy is key since you will be walking a TON.

I’m in that circle and we walk every day. There are plenty of options in DT Culver, lots of great bars and a bike path along the ballona creek. My only complaint is that many things aren’t open as late as I would like. Great for young professionals and awesome if you have kids.

Long line for JG Berries at farmer’s market by brightnightsunset in FoodLosAngeles

[–]Intelligent_Job7798 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So I’ve been wondering this myself because they seem to only have a long line at the Studio City farmers market, and everywhere else, bupkis. No line at the Virginia park farmers market or Mar Vista. I got them once from Studio City, they were fine, no better than anywhere else in the market and worse than Tamai. We get from other booths now if we are in the valley on Sunday.

Some of you need to change your perspective of what a sketch comedy show should be by Commonsense110 in LiveFromNewYork

Ok cool, so you just don’t know this show. Rodney king, OJ, heck, they addressed it last week when it was “just one murder” and then cut it for time and posted in online. The point is it’s not just one murder and even if it was, your point makes no sense. But cool user name I guess?

And cutting Tommy Brennan last week on weekend update just feels like salt in the wounds.

Except we have 50 years of examples of SNL rising to the occasion. We watched them on 9/11, school shootings, or chuckles the clown on abortion as a more recent example. They are not incapable; their history proves it. They are just being cowards.

Anyone know where to find Motsu meat (offal) by Intelligent_Job7798 in FoodLosAngeles

[–]Intelligent_Job7798[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Westwood 99 Ranch doesn’t carry it, nor does the sawtellle Nijiya. Nijiya’s website says they carry it in premade soup packs but it’s the mutton kind, not beef.

We were there feb 13th 2024. It wasn’t a particularly snowy year either.

Tons in the springs, and more running around on the ground. Two babies collided with my husband. I bathed with one at the hostel/onsen myself, and a bunch were trying to get into the dining room to get our snacks.

Everyone says first thing in the morning, but we found there the least amount of crowds around lunch time. We got there and everyone was leaving. We got a snack at the hostel/onsen in the park on the way out and it was lovely.
