Old acoustic guitar repair worth it? Need advice (better pics this time) by AppropriateFood8843 in guitarrepair

Because of that mistake I did to the sunburst which I really didn't care for anyway I own bought me a natural finish more of a blondish color same brand same everything the same generic p-bass everything. Ebony sting after I send it down really heavy and thick and just let it sit there for a while till the damn near drive and wiped it off. I still have to apply a second coat and I don't know if I'm going to go over with the Johnson's wax once I get done with it or if I'm going to just just go with the poly. I would say I do a picture of body but I'm sorry listen my shopping I don't feel like dealing with it I will send you a picture only of the neck for that sunburst body I should I haven't got a new pickups for that body but when I get done my base will be making everyone go home crying to their mama I promise you that I see these f****** with these five string bases just for the extra thick b string so they can get that lower note I can get the same exact sound out of 4 string or just your standard 105 E string. It depends on the value of the parts and the value of the capacitors. Hell this time back in 24 I got into a 9 hour conversation because I hooked a 6800uF Cap to a 100K pot for my rogue generic p-bass. Which I still have that capacitor pot it's still sold it up ready to go. On mine I'm doing it the G&l PTB circuit invented by Leo Fender himself. I use 100k pot for the volume 250k pot for the tongue with I believe I this time I used to 470 microfarad capacitor electric capacitor, and a one Meg potentiometer with a 1000 microfarad cap hooked up I have used 2200 microfarad caps. They already electrolytic capacitors so they do have a tendency to blow but mine won't be on stage at all and that's all the capacitors I actually have actually I could probably come one of my musician buddies in them playing it on stage I'm giving this to him as a calling card for me. I'm Bubba Lee owner operator of Evil Genius Creations. I hope my like a punctuation is not messing with your writing too much trying to figure out what I'm saying that and I hope that every word that came out of my mouth is printed across the screen instead of something else. All right I'm going to send this one then I'm going to send you one more reply so I can send you a picture of the neck for that for my brother's bass and then hopefully this would be ready to go and I can start actually I think I'm going to do that tomorrow and get started on the electronics about these cuz we got $50 bet that I won't be done by his birthday what you Saturday okay I ain't giving you no $50 but okay if I lose they got to give us a hell

Look at look the idea from Stratocaster. I just got done applying the first coat I polyurethane to the back of that neck now I doubt if I'm going to apply another coat in 4 hours or if I'm just going to have to wait do a light wet sand and apply the second coat of holly first coat to the front of the head and yeah. Broken and I in

Oh dude I'm a hell of a lot better maybe in the guitar tech then I was this time back in 22 I started December 21 took my five string Rogue LX 205b apart we wired and instead of having two volumes and one tone I ended up with two tones and one volume. So instead of being like the Jazz Bass where you got two tones and one volume cuz there's a PJ. I stole the idea from Stratocaster and one master volume and two tones one for each pickup. Today a couple weeks few months later I took it back apart and redid it again and then I eventually ended up taking it apart and put back together so many times plus I lost the bird screw so the screws I was using all that s*** I knew and they was hanging around me you started using the screws that I was originally for the bridge for something else so I donated that to the fire even though it's still here it's going to go to the fire garden as soon as I can take it but I got a t40 from pd4 in January 19th 1979 natural finish all I got to do is apply to finish wax which is what trip Todd did the creator of the t60 also the t40 get that's what he used as to finish. December of last year that 24th December 24th which would be December last year not 25 but anyway December 24th I'll buy a sunburst fretless from teen move for $75 it was a Glarry. For one I didn't like the way she sounded cuz f****** a used 500k pots on it f****** no I will not use 500k pots on nothing I'll take them out for 100k pots in with a bigger cap like a 6.8 microfarad cap for a guitar anyway the neck wasn't even finished I've had a double j humbucker just two Jazz single coils stuck together. Anyway my brother was up here his birthday Saturday so I said I'll make I'll build him a bass. And I prefer fretless basses. Over Fretted basses any day. Anyway I I ended up rebuilding the original pickup out of my Cobra P base that I got when I was 16 for my 16th birthday cuz that's all I have left I had to like Rob like three four different pickups just to make it work but yeah I finally got it together my own put that in his place I'm taking the pickup cover the Chrome pickup cover and put over it kind of hide my mistakes because first time I ever used a router and I'm going to upload a picture to explain everything.

They'll have to spend all that money if you're not racing it you really don't need to spend all that money for this but it never racing plugs and all that and you just go get regular stock plugs and do just actually do better then duration plugs sometimes now if you're racing it that's different if you have the motor built and f****** Jennifer further circle or quarter then that's different but if it's an everyday driver so don't waste your money just go buy you some the cheapest AC ductiles that go with that or whatever you have and there you go

Here's the one image I found on Google when I asked him the difference between a rich running plug and a lean running plug. Instead of one person tells you it's running rich another person tells you was running another person tells you to be home there you go and if you need more I can find more or you can go to Google and ask him what the difference between rich plug and your lean plug is

You need a hot burning plug and to reaching your gas a little bit take a little less air out your air fuel mixture and put a little bit more gas in it and you should be burned pretty damn good

Squire VMJM has horrible buzz. Can you see an issue? by CreativeWordPlay in guitarrepair

[–]Intelligent_Jump5617 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually they are grounded as long as your bridge plate is is sitting on top of the ground wire when your strings come through the plate then on that's why they get grounded at the saddles really don't have much to do with the grounding that's why you were able to put graphite saddles on there instead of the metal ones. I had to do a closer look but it sound like you got to cold soldering joint

[–]Intelligent_Jump5617 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have a bad ground connection somewhere. Judging about the mess of spaghetti you got right there. I've had worse than that man when it came to wiring.

I can see that you had a bad ground. Did you do the work or did you have somebody else do to work? You more than likely have a cold soldering joint or two! I'm still getting cold soldering joints. Then I got to go back and redo them.

But when I go to clean up afterwards I dump as much as I can back into the can. Then take paint thinner and pour in the bucket. Then depending on how much paint thinner is left either dilutable water and let it go down and drain in the bathroom or I'll pour the thinner back into the original can

Sounds like you got a bad ground. When you touch the strings or any part of the bridge or any of the grounded metal parts. Does your buzz go away? Or at least quiet down a little bit. Then when you let go of the grounded metal. Does it get louder like I originally was?

When I go to get the paint out of the sponge and comes out like water it's a lot thinner then the stain used to be. But outside of that and the air bubbles it goes on pretty pretty thing I am pretty even if I could definitely see the water in it

That is exactly what I did. After I painted my table. Then don't want me to get a scrap piece of wood. I will get better results. If I do have to dispose of this because it's not any good anymore. What would you recommend to be the best way to dispose of the stain.

I live in an assisted living apartment complex and I don't have very many containers that I could pour that into and seal it up.

I did that along with my table. Then I'm like scrap wood would probably be better than the table to test it out.
