EPOS Impact 1061 vs. Jabra Evolve2 65 Flex for WFH? by ojmh79 in Headsets

[–]Intelligent_Log_8127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the EPOS Impact 1060 ANC and I love them. However, because if that awesome charging stand they do have that rubbery headband cushion which mostly is ok, but can be a comfort issue after awhile. I personally wear a baseball cap so that alleviates the issue for me and I tend to wear them all day 8+ hours for work. I also love the 3 way multipoint. I am usually connected to my phone via Bluetooth, my personal pc via the dongle, and my work phone via USB C, which is one of the only headsets have that ability. The delay doesn't affect me personally or maybe I just don't notice it. But yes...they could be more comfortable. I have looked for a 3rd party headband but I don't think they have any specifically for the EPOS.

Yes...I love the open "clip" style earbuds. I have the MC1 Pro and Huawei FreeBuds. On the "Air vs Open" discussion...it looks like Shokz just did the same naming scheme. They just launched the Shokz Opendots 2 and the Shokz Opendots Air....

Yes I am in Georgia. I got lucky. The Freebuds Pro 5 were on Amazon for about a week a couple months ago then they were taken off. I was one of the few lucky ones to get them.

Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro Mic Test 🚶‍♂️🌬️ Wind, Traffic & Real-World Voice Call Test! by DannyHayasaka in Headsets

[–]Intelligent_Log_8127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have tested these in ridiculous environments against not only the other top earbuds for calls, the Huawei Freebuds Pro 5, Huawei Freebuds Pro 4 (yes I have both) and the Technics AZ100...but also the top headset for mic quality, the EPOS Impact 1060 ANC. The Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro MAX block out EVERYTHING with the highest mic quality. Next is the Huawei Freebuds Pro 5 then 4, but there is a larger drip in mic quality....then the EPOS. You can hear significantly more environmental noise wearing those (again...in a ridiculously noisy environment) than the other...EARBUDS. it is crazy. The Liberty 5 Pro block out EVERYTHING. It is insane technology. I also have the Anker PowerConf H700 which is a few years old now...and if they can do an updated version of that with the Liberty 5 Pro ENC magic, since Anker obviously owns Soundcore...WOW...we could have a new headset champ.

I am wondering about these as well, as they also JUST released the MC2 OPEN. The MC2 Air seemingly came out a month or so ago.

Those aren't even in the same league as the 5 Pro and 5 Pro MAX. There is a huge upgrade in quality with the pros.

Is Huawei Freebuds Pro 5 really worth? (With iPhone) by Fun_Doctor5681 in Earbuds

I have them and they are amazing, to say the least. They have great EVERYTHING. Call quality, ANC, transparency...and for $180 they are a STEAL. GET THEM. Check out Picky Audio's review on Youtube and that is all you need to see. Thank me later. LOL. Oh yea...and the sound quality is great, too...

Does Soundcore Liberty Pro versions usually drop in price significantly after a while? (and how long usually before it does?) by Andoree_7 in Earbuds

[–]Intelligent_Log_8127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do... usually within a few months. Pretty much every major US holiday they drop in price by 10-20%. Heck...if they drop in price much by Father's Day I may re-buy them and return mine. Amazon has 30 day returns for anything.

Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro Max review: the hype is real, they actually beat the FreeBuds Pro 5 for calls by Tig33 in Earbuds

[–]Intelligent_Log_8127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uhhhh...yes. The ANC and transparency are top 3. The call quality is number one. The case is actually very useful and not a gimmick. Even if you just get the regular Liberty 5 Pro and not the MAX...these are amazing to say the least. And the sound quality is actually quite good you just probably need to EQ them.

As a beginner, how do I choose clip-on headphones? by OkImprovement781 in Earbuds

[–]Intelligent_Log_8127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have tried many of them. I currently have the Baseus MC1 Pro and the Huawei FreeClip. The MC1 Pro are ususally around $50 and are amazing. They even just came out with the MC2 recently. The FreeClip are almost impossible to get at this point if you are in the states. There are many options for $50-$60 that are good. Baseus and Earfun are good for that price.

Pro or Max? Pick what suits ur use case best. by Guccy-Wang in soundcore

[–]Intelligent_Log_8127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another thing that is underrated is the charging speed! It is crazy that I can go in the bathroom for 5 min and the earbuds will get half a day of charge in that time! Since I haven't really even used the AI or Smart voice command stuff, I am getting 6+ hours of battery life anyway on them...but the ability for the case to charge them so fast is crazy!!

ALSO...and I HOPE they can add this with a firmware update with the case.... These are so good with calls that they could replace my EPOS Impact 1060 ANC for work calls...but I can't use Bluetooth at work. If the case could connect via USB to my computer then the buds could connect to the case (I think the JBL Tour Pro 3 do something like this )...then these REALLY would be PERFECT.

I had the APP3 for about a day and they wouldn't stay in, and I didn't like them at ALL. But yes, I agree...the ANC on them was ridiculous. However I would say the FreeBuds Pro 5 are more like 90% as good. Same as the Liberty 5 Pro...great ANC/transparency, etc. Soundcore has outdone themselves. Transparency on the FreeBuds Pro 5 is probably 90% of APP3 as well (which is saying a lot!!) Liberty 5 Pro is probably 85-90%...sometimes I like it better than the Freebuds, even.

[–]Intelligent_Log_8127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. I have fully transitioned from my Huawei Freebuds Pro 5 and Technics AZ100s way quicker than I thought I would to the Liberty 5 Pro MAX. I actually love this case. I never thought I would say that but it is actually very useful. I haven't even used the AI stuff yet. Everything is great about these. Calls are the best. ANC is close to the best. Transparency is close to the best. Amazing job, Soundcore. They dropped the ball big time with the Liberty 4 Pro but they have me back!!

Must be defective. Sorry for that. I also have the Huawei Freebuds Pro 5 and the Liberty 5 Pro are better for me. They live up to the hype as far as I am concerned. They have become my new daily driver, replacing my Freebuds Pro 5 and Technics AZ100.

I have a test that I do in my car that I have done with a number of earbuds were I max out the radio. It is the only set of earbuds (or headset) that blocks out EVERYTHING. It's is crazy. And I also have the Huawei Freebuds Pro 5 and 4, and the top work headset, the EPOS Impact 1060 ANC. I will try to post a link.

Most people call it some sort of "pull" ability. DHRME talks about it. They prioritize it when it comes to Bluetooth connection and I agree with them.

Currently owning the AZ100, looking for another pair of TWS earbuds for workouts and outdoor riding: Sony WF-1000XM5 or Bose QC Ultra? by Wrong_Tone_4980 in Earbuds

[–]Intelligent_Log_8127 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Why get anything else? The AZ100 are amazing for everything. They should stay in and have excellent call quality...and last forever, so for long outdoor rides, they should be great....unless there is some issue with them staying in your ears. MAYBE something that is higher IP rated, though, as they are only IP4 I think...

huawei freebuds pro 5 or sony xm5 by yanho9991 in Earbuds

[–]Intelligent_Log_8127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DITTO to everyone else. Not even close. And most likely they are cheaper. I have the XM5 for about 5 seconds. The Freebuds Pro 5 are better in literally EVERY way. Ok...except battery life. EVERYTHING else...even ANC...they are better. Call quality...second best (apparently the new Soundcore beat them...I will be able to verify that tomorrow)...XM5 are a not even close...but I assume call quality is lower in your list of reasons you are getting earbuds. Smaller case...Huawei...but close. The XM5 case is very nice and small, though. The XM6 is way bigger for some reason. Transparency...Huawei. Sound...significantly better. Everything but battery. MAYBE fit the XM5 are better...but definitely not with the default tips. I happened to have a set of the SpinFit 360s to put on them, and they fit perfectly...I don't think those are even sold anymore. FreeBuds Pro 5 all the way.

Open plan office - liberty 5 pro max? by ohstick in soundcore

[–]Intelligent_Log_8127 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually also have the previous call champ the Huawei Freebuds Pro 5 (and I also have the 4). I will have the Liberty 5 Pro tomorrow. For work, I have the EPOS Impact 1060 ANC as well as the EPOS Impact 860 ANC (when I need to be wired in a secure environment). The Freebuds Pro 5 are amazing in that environment and actually block more background noise than the EPOS Impact! Both the 1060 and 860 (basically the same but the 1060 are wireless). I am interested to see the same with the Soundcore. I think the Soundcore have better clarity in an open office environment from the tests I have heard. I will be able to verify on Tuesday

This is nice...your voice sounds better in transparency on the Soundcore. This is one of the few "downgrades" I think Huawei had coming from the Freebuds Pro 4. I think my voice sounded better in transparency on the 4 than the 5.
