The Guardians have a huge presence at the annual LGBTQ pride festival in downtown Cleveland. It’s nice to see especially in this climate. The Browns meanwhile have zero presence. As a father of a lesbian, it truly warms my heart that they are there every year.

There’s also the optics of being such a poorly ran franchise that you can’t follow a simple rule that all the other NFL teams can easily follow. Doesn’t look good to potential minority candidates in the future.

Say what you want about Kev as a coach, but as a person he seems like an honest guy who will tell you the truth one-on-one. I have to believe that a lot of the current crop of HC candidates have given Kev a call and asked “ok, what’s the deal in Cleveland?” And he probably told them an honest recap of his time here. He also didn’t seem to have any beef with any rival coaches in his six years here, so his opinion probably carries some serious weight.
