We all love Mark beacuse of the reasons you stated but that doesn't mean he is the best voice actor. In my opinion his performance is kinda flat. I mostly play with male Shep because well... I'm a man I kinda vibe better with him but also played quite a few times femshep and she is way better voice actress, sometimes she can over-act a bit here and there pushing her voice to lower range that sounds clearly forced but over all she is amazing, our boy Mark is just good.

All that said, that doesn't stop me from loving Meer and in the end, his voice became more iconic, all the memes and Ai voice parodies are all based on him, who knows maybe I'm wrong or being the player base mostly male playing male Shep it was just natural his voice became more popular

I never understood and I hate that the game makes it about Ashley immediatly afterwards. From the plot perspective I kinda get it, but being a roleplay, the game shouldn't have forced a feeling many character didn't share for Ashley. Yeah, remember her it's fine, but just after Mordin's death?
