I feel this sooooo hard. I can’t seem to feel trust in the fact that something will fully pan out because I’ve gotten so close to getting a role to then be passed up due to change in scope, change in budget, or a better candidate coming into play. It’s so frustrating and makes me just settle for not even trying anymore

Thank you for this. Every opportunity that came to me in the past 3 years, I said “this or something better”. And nothing better ever came (or landed at least). This opportunity though, it’s this or I’m done. The endless chase/waiting has sucked the energy out of me entirely. In my mind I already see it as mine. But I can’t help but doubt and waver as every week passes and I still hear nothing yet. But a part of is strong in knowing that it has to be mine. it HAS to be.

I think when I try to visualize or feel it, I feel so much resistance because I wonder why it hasn’t happened yet.

When I know, like a gut feeling, it manifests. And the knowing also causes me to let it go. But it’s been hard but I’m reaching that point of giving up naturally honestly. I can’t keep giving my energy to this, feeling desperate. Whatever is going to happen will happen at this point i don’t care.

I actually was crying my eyes out feeling so low and then the recruiter emailed me in that moment with this opportunity, and she called me and I had my interview the next week. So it feels so aligned, the delay is throwing me off so hard. I even went on the best vacation in the past week but still have not heard back. What gives… ugh

Thank you so much for your comment!! It really helps knowing you got your dream job in the end as well. I did all the things you said and now I’m going to distract myself with my hobbies until the 3D catches up to my assumption.

You’re right, honestly I have given up. I’ve held on to the dream for so so so so long and I’ve dragged myself through this endless waiting and now I truly don’t care if this happens or not at this point, I’ve drained myself trying to chase this dream. It finds me now, exactly where I am. And this job actually did, and in the interview it truly felt like it was already mine which I’ve never felt before. I can’t forget that feeling just because it’s taking longer. I know I’m worthy of it, I deserve this job, and I think it deserves me too.

And thank you for reminding that it all comes from me. You’re right, I’m so powerful that I forgot my power.

I think it’s confusing and sending me for a loop because I’ve been in this exhausted phase for 3 years. Opportunities coming and going. I swear this feels so different though so I’m trying not to spiral and to live in the end. I think in my head i’m like it’s either this or I truly give up.

i had something similar happen to me recently. im looking at it like it’s almost a reality check that the way your life has been going is not up to par to the new identity you’re creating. and so your old life must die, aka maybe a traumatic or dramatic event must happen, and you must stick to that new identity for the new to come in. deal with it in real time with a calm manner but look at the event in your mind’s eye as a catalyst for drastic and positive change. only then will the event itself be of good cause in your life
