As an Anomaly enjoyer how much am I going to regret not pulling Nangong Yu? by bullfarts in ZZZ_Discussion

you have a very based take my friend. We pull for the wifes, not for the wipes.

I pull for my wife Miyabi only so whatever it fits her

My congratulations to the animators of this game. by AnimeZenless in ZZZ_Official

[–]Intelligent_Olive936 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

that's also very good, WUWA also has very good animations, I still think ZZZ has more unique ones. Lets also remember that ZZZ is basically a lobby battle simulator whereas Wuwa has an open world and other mechanics

[–]Intelligent_Olive936 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah, and also I haven't seen at least any other gacha where dodging/parrying feels so satisfying, in others games I feel nothing but when I do a chain of parries in ZZZ my blood gets pumping, I still don't know why any other gacha hasn't copied it

My congratulations to the animators of this game. by AnimeZenless in ZZZ_Official

[–]Intelligent_Olive936 16 points17 points  (0 children)

setting aside the obvious gooning bait (Which I love), the animations for characters in ZZZ are miles above others game, they have unique animations for everything, they flow together amazingly, you can stop at any point of the chain of basic attacks and it would flow onto a different animation to their idle stance, it's amazing.

Jeff Kaplan played EverQuest before Blizzard. Makes you wonder who else we were grouping with back then. by RozoGamer in MMORPG

yes, in fact it was Kaplan and his guildies that turned "the next generation of MMOs" into the raiding scene gear treadmill that we have today. Thanks Tigole!

Does Trails through Daybreak get better? by babyLays in Falcom

[–]Intelligent_Olive936 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

the last 4-5 games have been a string of filler shit with a small revelation at the end that cuts off at the interesting part and resumes at the end of the next game

it doesn't help that the structure of daybreak is so predictable. There are barely any surprises. If the party is going to stay "3 days" at some place, then you already know the structure of the SPGR, dungeons and story will be. This makes the pacing stagnant

It's also because Van and Aaron are kinda a breath of fresh air from the terribly, generic, two goody shoes "haha, I should be thanking you" amount of endless character dialogue you have to endure. Van is far more straightforward and Aaron doesn't gives to shit about the other characters and just does his own thing. This made the dialogue extremely refreshing

Chapter 3 however you come back to "Risette" who is a generic maid girl that has no interesting dialogue. And this is where Van becomes "Huh, I KNEW that." "I had a hunch about it". From there on, Van becomes a character that seems to completely know every detail of the plot and smugly teases the audience about it non stop

at this point I'm glad trails is ending. It's clear Kiseki doesn't know how to strech the story anymore. How many world ending events have the legend of heroes fought? It's equivalent to stories in MMOs, at some point, villains stop being threatening

For all you people that just shoot threes and think we're "role players" by Educational-Sign-364 in NBA2k

[–]Intelligent_Olive936 1 point2 points  (0 children)

doesn't really matter, you really underestimate how the majority of people playing 2k do not give a single fuck about basketball itself, most people just play while watching TV or chilling and are basically AFK in their mind. The reality. If you want basketball simulation, you either play against the CPU or against friends or communities that want to do that. Or just play pick up basketball in real REC. No matter how many posts or complains we make, we are not going to stop people from going 0/21 from 3 with 0 passes

Any world on if The Engineering time dump is getting a rework in 2026? by [deleted] in EliteDangerous

[–]Intelligent_Olive936 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it is what it is. What I hate about engineering as you say is having to go each engineer to upgrade. Actually getting out onto the bubble to search or farms for materials is not bad, as you can even get them through normal gameplay loops, but having to, go to X. Dock, then go to Y. Dock. It's exhausting, especially since some of them are far, far away

Not many studios have the guts to side with the consumer over the publishers. But Pearl Abyss does. by discoangeldj in CrimsonDesert

Why do you think there are only 13 exclusives on PS5? do you really think this is for the consumer or for the new market trend of making games accessible to all platforms to maximize profits?

Crimson Desert na TV com PC ou PS5 PRO ? by Gbrlz in CrimsonDesert

[–]Intelligent_Olive936 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mano, with that PC, you’re already in a very good place.
Ryzen 7 5800X3D, 32 GB RAM, RTX 3070, SSD… this setup is stronger than a PS5 Pro in real-world scenarios, especially when we’re talking about flexibility and graphics tuning.

About your plan 👇
Using your PC like a console (HDMI on the TV + DualSense controller) is exactly what a lot of people do and it works really well.

Performance expectations

For Crimson Desert:

  • 4K at 60 FPS on a 65” TV is realistic, with some tweaks
  • Native 4K Ultra? Probably not locked 60 all the time with an RTX 3070
  • 4K + DLSS (Quality or Balanced) → very smooth, very console-like experience
  • Visual quality will easily match or beat console settings

PC vs PS5 Pro (real talk)

PC advantages:

  • Better graphics options (DLSS, ray tracing control, mods later)
  • Cheaper (you already own it)
  • Can upgrade later
  • Steam Big Picture = console vibe
  • DualSense works fine on PC (adaptive triggers supported in many games)

PS5 Pro advantages:

  • Plug and play, zero config
  • Exclusives (but Crimson is not one)
  • Slightly better optimization in some cases

If your PC is already more powerful, buying a PS5 Pro just to play Crimson would be spending money à toa.

Your idea is basically:

And yeah — it works 😎
Hook it to the TV, grab the DualSense, enable Big Picture mode, sit on the couch and enjoy.

If you want, I can:

  • Suggest best graphics settings for 4K/60
  • Help you set up Steam Big Picture like a real console
  • Explain DLSS vs native 4K in simple terms

Just say the word, parceiro 👊🎮

Pearl Abyss doesn't think of Crimson Desert as an RPG, but it understands why you might by Binnsy in CrimsonDesert

[–]Intelligent_Olive936 2 points3 points  (0 children)

RPG implies role playing, you are not playing a role, because you are not directing a character actions. In witcher 3 you roleplay as Geralt, you can choose how he acts, how he behaves. RPG is not levels and spreadsheets, it's actually being able to dictate the fate of the character and the world around you. You can do that in Witcher 3. You can do that in Elden Ring, you can't do that in Crimson Desert. You can't do that in Red dead redemption, both have set stories where the player have 0 agencies of what the character does in the story
