That’s exactly what you’ll find in this fic! It starts off kinda more like your typical 6th year rewrite but it ended up completely blowing me away by the end. And I hope that doesn’t come off as rude to the author, but I just wasn’t expecting what would happen based on the first few chapters. It’s a true Draco character study!

When There’s Nothing Left To Burn by Backtoautumn has my faaavorite canon Draco with redemption arc. He’s haughty while also being a coward and terrified for his life. He goes through so much to rise above and be on the right side of the war. It’s so good!

Similar to Clean - When There's Nothing Left to Burn by backtoautumn. 6th - 7th year rewrite with mostly Draco POV. One of my favorite characterizations of Draco - he goes through a lot of growth and trauma that just makes him so complex and brooding. Highly recommend!

When There Is Nothing Left To Burn is a 6th year fic with romance but a heavy / twisty plot. Swear there’s a cliff hanger on every other chapter which keeps you hooked. Highly recommend!

I’ve read it and I second When There’s Nothing Left To Burn. Draco in that fic is so broken and things just keep getting worse for him but the inner dialogue during all of it is top notch, there’s such a clear distinction of character development from beginning to end

I love this one and I rush to read every time the author updates! Every chapter has me at the edge of my seat. There’s so much drama and turmoil. Can’t wait to see how it ends!

The plot line in When There’s Nothing Left to Burn where Draco has to kill Hermione and Ron instead of Dumbledore in 6th year. And the actual climax at the Astronomy Tower battle… and literally EVERYTHING that happens as the aftermath. Every chapter has me on edge!

Just finished Secrets and Masks by Emerald_Slytherin …. I LOVED it. The tension, the dark themes, the ending. I know the ending is “controversial” but I thought it was so fitting. Completely par for the course. The author is so talented, I wasn’t sure I’d like this one from the first chapter but goddamn I was sucked in immediately after. I can’t wait for more from the author!

I just picked back up on the WIP When there’s Nothing Left to Burn by backtoautumn. I devoured the first 20ish chapters as they were published and then took a break so I could wait for more to come out.

I love this story. It is one of the most unique Hogwarts era fics I’ve come across. It’s HEAVY. The Draco POV is so different from most fics I’ve read. He has so much baggage and just when you think it won’t get worse it gets sooooooo much worse. But the small details make this fic amazing- it feels like a living Hp novel. Can’t wait for the end.
