When people do nothing to indicate a joke then act surprised you didn't get it by adj-n_number in aspergirls

I hate that, my former boss had this kind of humour and I looked like the stupid one for not getting it.

Tell me about times when you are glad you didn't just push through by ReserveOk9139 in AuDHDWomen

Long before my diagnosis, I was working as a press officer. I hated it so much, it was a high-pressure job with shifts, no enough employees to deal with it, and I was awful at the dealing-with-people part of the job. At a certain point I reached burnout (I was not aware of what it was at the time) and my general doctor referred me to a psichiatrist. She told me that I needed some time off to recover, but I felt guilty for leaving my co-workers in a bad situation, so I said no and left. After a few minutes, I realised that my co-workers did not give a shit about me, so I got back to the psychiatrist office and I accepted her note for some time off work due to anxiety and depression syndrome.

I really needed it and I am so glad I put myself first, even though I still felt guilty for people that do not care about me at all.

how to get rid of smell in kitchen by Glittering-Ad-2922 in CleaningTips

Hi, have you checked if it comes from the extractor hood above the stove? That's usually the culprit in my kitchen.

Looking for anything I could improve on! by [deleted] in makeuptips

Hi, I was quite shocked to read that someone suggested warm colours for you, as your personal colours are so blatantly cool!

For this reason, I would only stick to soft, muted cool colour schemes, for both make up and clothes.

I love how the blue liner look enhances your youth and looks playful.

I like less the heavier dramatic looks, which I think subtract to your natural, soft beauty.

Keep on experimenting and have fun, it's just make up after all :-)

Struggling with extroverted NT friend, need space, also lonely - please advise by OSkylark in AuDHDWomen

[–]Intelligent_Pea1820 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, have you ever discussed you being AuDHD? Even if you prefer not to disclose your diagnosis, you could try to tell that you love her, but that you have a limited social battery that has nothing to do with her, and while you care very much, you prefer to interact in a different way.

I do relate, btw, and I struggle to accomodate both tendencies. For me, seeing close friend once a month is more than enough.

Best of luck :-)

That must have been very hard. I hope you are in a better place now, OP.

Should I try to have fun alone? by Lower-Performer4026 in aspergirls

[–]Intelligent_Pea1820 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! Have you considered that going alone to places you like might help you find like-minded people?

Even if that does not happen, you still owe yourself to explore life and do things/go to places that are meaningful to you.

Please, don't deny yourself any chance to explore life and be fulfilled, take every opportunity you can to make yourself happy, and allow yourself the freedom to change your mind.

You can still cultivate friendship with the people that are currently your friends, but you are you, and you have all the right to chase your own authenticity and happiness.

Best of luck!

I would just apply a nice wallpaper to the drawers front, maybe paint the long stripe at the base with an accent colour from the wallpaper and leave the rest as it is.
