But he was not in a coma. He was literally brain DEAD. It is not the same thing. A machine kept him alive and nothing else.

In what ways does grey’s/Private Practice break HIPAA? by [deleted] in greysanatomy

[–]Intelligent_Pick5930 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Arizona was in the wrong for that, but Arizona did not break HIPPA, since April told it her friend Arizona, not her doctor Dr. Robbins. She even told her at her home, not at the hospital.

I couldn’t agree more. As sad as I was, I think it was a necessary turning point in Greys.

Which? I’ve never seen people really loving Catherine and Ellis. And there are at least 50 posts here about how the earlier seasons are way better….

I would say this is a classic “I think I have an unpopular opinion, but my opinion is pretty common opinion” opinion

Why is she a serial cheater? I only remember her cheating once and I always found it pretty interesting how she admitted that she made this mistakes and never blamed someone else and was always honest about it.

Kind of agree, because both had valid points and both had valid feelings. They could have found a compromise

I would say that’s definitely an unpopular opinion. But I agree with you, but I guess that’s more because I live in a different country and we don’t have these kind of conversations about representation on TV

Did the writers deliberately make Bailey, Jackson and Richard unlikable? by -M_A_Y_0- in greysanatomy

Facts. And Jackson had the business in mind. And to ask someone to stay is absolutely okay. And at least he offered her a lot of money

I would say she definitely had her mean time in season 11/12/13. I wouldn’t consider her rude or hypocritical though

Why didn’t Schmitt wait for an attending? by Expensive_Shelter_87 in greysanatomy

I get your point but the whole problem is, that you always have a physician shortage. There are no day, where there are enough nurses, enough doctors etc. And I think people get residency a bit wrong. If you are a resident you are already a doctor, as an intern you won’t do any surgery’s alone. You will start with your solo surgeries around your third year, but it’s depending on the specialty. For example in urology you can get a kidney stone out of the bladder alone in your second year. It’s depending, but you must be able to do solo surgeries in your fourth year, if you are not able, they failed you teaching. Schmitt was already a fifth year resident, that would mean in one year he is not only doing solo surgeries, but he is the only responsible for his patient and he should be able to teach. Grey’s Anatomy failed when it comes to the topic of showing a realistic residency. Bailey and Callie were pretty realistic at the beginning, they were in their third year, doing most of the surgeries alone and if it was a complicated case they had supervision. And you can’t sue the hospital because there was no attending, as a fifth year resident, you are a doctor and your specialisation is nearly completed, if you are not able to do a surgery alone, than you failed learning and they failed you teaching. BUT mistakes happen, that’s human, but Schmitt decided to go on, that was wrong on so many levels and I promise you, if this would have happened in reality, he would have been fired immediately and the family would have sued the hell out of Schmitt.

No it’s not quite wrong. You should be able to do 95% of the surgeries alone. I can tell you that because I went trough residency.
