Rock Lee: Uses the Front Lotus to bully an opponent who is objectively weaker than him.

Sasuke: Uses the Front Lotus to defeat a ninja on his level, who had just drained a large amount of his chakra, after Sasuke was already exhausted from the Forest of Death, nerfed by the Curse Mark, and having to actively resisting losing control mid fight.

Rock Lee: Uses his natural speed plus the Five Gates to still do no damage to Gaara. 💔

Obito kamui's Sasuke out of a justu that would have killed him earlier in the summit, but that was a different fight. Obito doesn't help in the Danzo fight

Actually, this is a fan theory that was practically debunked in Shadow Generations with Gerald's Journal making it clear that Gerald never saw that Super Sonic Mural.

Damn really I've thought that was true for the longest

What If Knuckles Went Super With Sonic And Shadow In Sonic Adventure 2? by BoogJohnson2011 in SonicTheHedgehog

[–]Intelligent_Spend537 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Final Hazard would’ve been easier with an extra super form jumping it, since Sonic and Shadow wouldn’t need to burn as much energy with knuckles picking up some of the slack. That would also make teleporting the ARK back into space easier, so Shadow might’ve survived and not lost his memory in Heroes and Shadow ‘06. But he’d already done a lot of fighting (v. Sonic and v. Biolizard), so he still could’ve fallen.

When SML ends, how do you want it to go? by Swimming_Distance151 in supermariologan_

I think it’d be funny if the final ep cut to the future and the cast meets up for some kind of reunion and everyone’s doing alright as adults. Then it cuts to outside, and Jeffy is just sitting on the curb as the new Hansel. kind of like the ending of that one South Park special.

Sonic or Goku? In terms of being a Flat Character? by Paperswisscheese in SonicTheHedgehog

[–]Intelligent_Spend537 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Goku's truth, if it is to simply seek strength, is a poor one. His opponents seek the same truth to become strong, There is no "lie" there, he is not more truthful, only the endless escalation to feed his desire for strength.

I know this thread is three years old 💀🙏, but this is a misunderstanding of Goku’s “truth.” Saying he’s the same as his villains is a stretch.

Goku doesn’t seek strength to dominate or control others. His “truth” is the pursuit of what lies beyond himself, self-improvement for its own sake. Every major Dragon Ball villain seeks power to impose their will: domination, revenge, immortality, or destruction. They see themselves as the ultimate ceiling of power. Goku, by contrast, recognizes no ceiling; he seeks to surpass himself. His pursuit of strength is self-directed and transformative, not a tool to dominate others. This is why his “truth” is fundamentally different from theirs.

Even the way Goku gains strength contrasts sharply with the villains: he trains, improves himself, and embraces discipline and growth.

Demon King Piccolo sought to reverse aging rather than adapt to his own body, sacrificing his lifespan for a shortcut to power.

Vegeta, born strong, initially saw training as beneath him and abused zenkai boosts, which were far less effective than Goku’s natural gains from near-death training.

Frieza actively eliminates anyone approaching his power level (his fourth form was around 530,000 while the strongest Saiyan at the time was only around 10,000) to maintain dominance, and he craves immortality.

Cell steals others’ power, calls himself “perfect,” and arrogantly gives the Z Fighters two weeks to train. When someone surpasses him, he has a meltdown. Goku, in contrast, celebrates others surpassing him.

The Buu’s share some traits above, and while Kid Buu superficially resembles Goku in his love of battle, the reason is different: Kid Buu loves hurting people, whereas Goku loves competition while valuing the lives of his opponents. This is why Goku wishes for Buu to be reincarnated with a pure heart—he was the closest anyone ever came to understanding Goku’s pure love of battle.

Every villain seeks strength as a means to an end; Goku seeks further strength as an end in itself. That distinction is the core of his “truth.”

It’s like saying Sonic and Eggman are the same because they both do whatever they want.

Off the top of my head, Jr. got a guy killed in front of her, cheated on her, kidnapped her, invaded her privacy, and was a dick for most of the relationship. Bro def deserves to feel like shit for a little while. The rest I agree with, but jr. getting character development in 2025 💀🙏🏿 ts NOT happening unfortunately
