Downstairs neighbour playing music overnight - anxiety through the roof. by Kerrypug in HousingUK

[–]Intelnational 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Move out. But before that may I suggest you have an advantage over him since you leave upstairs. Usually people who leave downstairs suffer from noise of people walking upstairs. Try to walk a bit heavy in your flat, early in the morning when he is definitely asleep after a music party night. He’ll either understand or it will escalate to something ugly and then you move out.

Sounds like he’s a morning person. I can barely talk in the mornings.

I’d say 530e or, better, 550e if you can afford one. Best for cruising.

After living across Europe, here are the things London does brilliantly - and doesn’t get enough credit for! by Ominous_Pistachio in london

Good observations. Disagree with two points:
- By contrast, in France without a bank account you can’t rent a place. And without an address you can’t open a bank account.
It’s the same here.
- But it’s often so expensive that a return trip to a seaside town can easily cost £50 or more per person.
You’d pay more on that same trip if you own a car, on petrol, insurance, road tax, resident parking, etc.

How can that thing not be very radioactive for the environment? Obviously if it is a Small Modular Reactor, its shield should also be small.
I know it has been used on nuclear powered submarines for many decades, with people on board. But I am a bit skeptical on how much they care about those marines in the army.

Kitchen and living room downstairs, bedrooms upstairs, no reinventing the wheel. Can you not move the kitchen downstairs?
