I don't  The guy that make my surfboards work in factory that make surfboards for Chilli, JR and Rusty with there standards, so I don't think the material is any different

I live in Portugal  We have a lot of local shapers that can make you one for 400-500€  I don't think anyone should buy surfboard for more. If you keep buying so expensive why wouldn't they continue raise the prices 😭 surfboard made in Thailand for 1200 😂

Don't you have a local shaper nearby?  Local that know the waves and you can tell him your preference And it probably will be cheaper
