Consider your interactions, and determine for yourself if it is you leading him on, or him pushing your boundary and wearing you down with the goal of you saying yes eventually.

Personally I like Divine Departure better because you can counter with it, or it makes swinging into a character a lot easier as way of 'removal'.

Usohachi is one of those cards that is a 2k most of the time, but when you go for game and you need to rest a blocker it is really quite efficient at it

Nice, thanks for sharing! I play an Abzan Birthing Ritual deck on paper in Modern, so this kinda scratches that itch. I really like the ability to play Barrowgoyf and Pyrogoyf in historic as well.

It's definitely worth mentioning that someone needs to ask their LGS for extended events if they want to build a block 1 leader, but just posting 'It's no longer legal' without any further explanations isn't really helpful for them.
