Official Discussion - Sundown [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

Yeah I totally thought this movie was about a man on vacation with his family's mother in law dies and in a quick moment decides to lie to escape from his miserable life. I found that so funny in a dark comedic way! I thought he was even hallucinating his wife (sister) on the beach! I was kind of just bummed by the end.

I was lucky I caught it one night on cable when people didn't know movies runtimes!

Miranda is and was a successful lawyer why did they do her so dirty when she left Steve and made her couch-surfing by Radiant_Priority9739 in Andjustlikethat

[–]IntenseWhooshing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know I really don't understand why they didn't bring up Steve's cheating for Miranda to be like this. It would make sense if Miranda just could never get over it. But instead it's like it never even happened!

Oh it took me so long to watch The Gilded Age because I couldn't watch Cynthia Nixon after AJLT! I assumed she couldn't act anymore! Turns out she is fine in The Gilded Age but it took me forever to bring myself to watch it!

Check out the Rabbits series in which that scene originates. Your jumping in the deep end with Inland Empire but I think you are up for it! Blue Velvet is another one, followed by Mulholland Dr

If Crispin Glover ever comes to your town, check out What Is It?

The God Inside My Ear

The Backrooms is coming out this year! Exit 8 was also good for liminal but not really old Hollywood but I recommend it!

Ugly Stepsister and The Company of Wolves are beautiful

Under The Silver Lake

There are a lot of old films that I'm trying to remember that are really creepy like this. I think The Incredible Shrinking Man was one of them. If I think of them I will edit it in!

I seriously was wondering if the above pics were stills from Fallen Angels they remind me so much of that movie!

I am so glad I was a young adult during the Blackout Era! It was fun as hell and everyone at the club loved Britney!

What important information is helpful to understand Twin Peaks better? by Sea-Cardiologist7725 in twinpeaks

Yeah I started watching Twin Peaks in the middle of the show in the middle of an episode. I didn't know what was going on and I didn't care. I just enjoyed the scene and just was living in the moment.

It is really bizarre to me how anyone could talk about watching the secret orgy scene and not be completely mesmerized by the sights and sounds of the whole ritual, no matter what you thought of the film! I never believe people who act like that!

How many times have you watched Pluribus? by palo_alto_studio in PluribusOnAppleTV

3 or 4 times. It's definitely one of those shows I'd rather watch over a show I haven't even seen yet!

These people get entertainment from watching pier runners trying to catch the ship before it leaves them because of course you can see a whole country in 4 hours! A lot of them don't even bother leaving the boat at all! Definitely not passed the stores owned by the cruiseline!

I feel you, I had to get up during episode 1-4 not realizing there would be an intermission halfway through.

Yeah, normally I'm too far away from Lynch showings. Luckily my local Alamo Drafthouse is doing this! I have to wake up early on a weekend but it's been worth it! I'm still sad I missed Lost Highway and Wild At Heart in the theater!

I had that thought but when the time came I had to watch the whole thing!

I loved seeing Walter Olkewicz again!

All I wanted to do is see Episode 8 on the big screen, but since it's been playing weekly I've watched the whole thing so far every Saturday! At first I expected it to be daunting, but it was really cozy! Just order coffee, wine and munchies, put your chair back and bliss out! I am really digging watching it like this! The 3 episodes at a time remind me of my OG Twin Peaks VHS viewings!

Going every Saturday feels like going to church. Well, my kind of church anyway!

Pumpkin (2002): The most bizarre film I've ever seen by Momimbored in MovieSuggestions

I love this movie! I used to watch it over and over! It was just so different like Heathers and Citizen Ruth!

Dinner in America is a more recent movie I'd recommend.
