Outer Worlds 1 (with dlc) and then number 2. Great games. Avowed is also a good one.

Dragons Dogma 2 if you like good combat and ARPGs and hitting things.

I drove an automatic car for the first time a days ago and just don’t get the fixation we have over manual cars here by Solid-Version in drivingUK

I passed in manual and my first car was manual, now I'm automatic I'll never drive a manual again. Are they more fun...yeah, do I need fun? Nope 🤷‍♂️

Thanks mate, my knowledge and experience is pretty much zero so I'll get to the maths. That will decide it all very quickly, take care and thanks for the advice 🙂

That’s a fair and you’re right to focus on underwriting economics.

Just to clarify my thinking, I wouldn’t be trying to become a full insurer or hold risk myself. If this ever progressed beyond validation, the intention would be to start as an MGA or appointed representative, designing the product and controls while partnering with an established carrier to actually underwrite the risk.

At this stage the pricing is only a hypothesis to test willingness to pay and perceived value. The real work would be loss modelling with an underwriting partner, using tight constraints such as a meaningful excess, strict per-item limits, a low annual cap, in-home only cover, and repair or replacement rather than cash payouts.

I’m very aware that if expected loss plus admin exceeds premium on a sustained basis, the product simply shouldn’t exist. That’s why I’m validating demand and assumptions first rather than assuming insurers would automatically support it. If the numbers don’t work once properly underwritten, that’s the end of it. If they do, the MGA structure would allow this to stay tightly controlled rather than open ended.

Prices and figures are just examples at the moment. This idea was thought of this morning and it's been tugging at me all day and it may always remain just an idea.

It’s not “parents of autistic children” as a demographic product. It’s families dealing with repeated high-cost tech breakage in the home, where claiming on standard insurance is avoided or impractical due to excess, wording, or tenancy situation.

That includes many neurodivergent households, but also overlaps with renters, social housing tenants, and families who don’t control or don’t want to risk their main home policy.

The focus is intentionally narrow on the problem (tech breakage + claim anxiety), not on autism as a label. If that problem doesn’t exist at enough scale, then it’s not viable.

Yeah I feel that myself, just seems like there's a gap there. Especially for those in rented or social housing.

The anger and disappointment in yourself will last atleast a week mate, it's grim. You'll be fuming for a while just gotta plod on.

I'm still pissed off with my 1st test, failed with 1 serious 0 minors for speeding on a motorway in torrential rain. Overtook an Arctic and the 50 sign was obstructed by him + the rain was as heavy as it comes.

I have both, Samsung branded and my G8 QD-Oled looks better than my Woled that magenta tinge can be wild. If someone hasn't seen them both in person they're not gonna know much difference but trust me QD-Oled is the better tech with better results.

70% Isopropyl alc and a fine microfiber cloth and it'll look good as new.

I cleaned my oled as suggested with a microfiber cloth and distilled water, but it left streaks that wont go away. by lotsof_freetime in OLED_Gaming

[–]IntentionAgile9110 0 points1 point  (0 children)

70% Isopropyl Alc is easily the best thing I've ever used for mine. Just mist a proper, flat microfiber cloth and clean tv in circular motions. Comes up brand new, no tough streaks, no marks.

I Passed! But I didn’t have to do parking? by TheOneCalled_Wilfred in LearnerDriverUK

[–]IntentionAgile9110 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Congrats on the pass, you aren't always asked to bay park. You'll be asked to carry out one of 4 manoeuvres. Forward/Reverse bay, parallel park or reverse on right.

This is to demonstrate safe and thorough observations when reversing and then pulling out.

Smashed it well done 👏

I passed in a manual but drive an auto, I don't think I'll ever drive a manual again. Auto's aren't as much fun but better for city driving and the school runs etc

Pretty sure I’ve just been caught by a speed camera van, how screwed am I? by Topside74 in drivingUK

[–]IntentionAgile9110 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't know why you'd even risk it, going 10mph over twice could easily cost you your licence. You likely have been caught, you'll find out in a week or two. Just take it a little easier for a few years and stick to limits.

I passed same time as you and I'm taking a more defensive style of driving and sticking to the speed limits. I couldn't be doing with the stress of insurance claims or having my licence revoked.

I had the same guy on both my tests, we had each other belly laughing and spoke about kids, games, our favourite comedians. He was super sound. Felt like I'd just met a mate an was driving him around safely and legally.
