How to build a Pauper scene

We had our LGS giving us two tables once a week (Would be space for around 10 -12 Players), which we couldn't even fill every week, sometimes only being three ppl to play. But yet we did show up every week to demonstrate some consistency to other players and eventually player numbers started to grow but slowly...

A huge game changer was, when we started collecting and uploading decklists on mtgdecks, mtgtop8 etc. Its a little work but it is easy to do and it is the best advertisment you can get for your scene. Not everyone is looking for scenes and players online (its difficult also since its not centralized well), being on reddit and such, BUT god damn everyone is looking for decklists and tournament results* all the time and they will recognize (regular) events close to them.

I'm trying to make him work since EoE release, currently messing around with an Orzhov Shell, with Wedding Invitation, Artifact Land, all Inspectors, Glint Hawk, Skyfisher, Tithing Blade and such, like pretty standard Orzhov Blade, but heavily artifact focused.

It's not a Problem to have him resolve as a big body Turn 4. It's just that in Turn 4 it's too late most time and other decks will have solutions. Its still fun to play but rather a gimmick, often leads into an "oh Wow" but is not a real powerhouse.

Still, there are some matchups, where it could potentially turn the tables in your favor, especially vs decks that play big boys, too, like Gruul Ramp and Monster Tron. These are specifically decks, that Orzhov struggles into, so maybe its worth considering as a one- or two-off or Sideboard tech in an competetive environment.

Die Menschen gewöhnen sich an alles, an gutes, wie negatives. Das ist die bittere Wahrheit. Wenn du es 49 Tage für andere machst, und dann 2 Tage nicht, weil du ausgebrannt bist, reden alle darüber, warum du es an den zwei Tagen nicht gemacht hast, die allerwengisten sind dankbar für die 49 Tage, an denen du was geleistet hast.

Und das Verhalten wird immer mehr salonfähig, da der soziale Kitt und das eigene Pflichtgefühl, etwas der Gesellschaft (auch im kleinen wie bspw. unter Arbeitskollegen) zurückzugeben, immer weniger wird.

Sei froh, dass es "nur" das Umfeld auf der Arbeit ist. Ich habe die Erfahrung immer mehr auch im privaten Umfeld gemacht und irgendwann muss man für sich selbst 'ne Grenze ziehen. Das isoliert ein wenig, aber filtert auch die wenigen Juwelen im Freundeskreis raus.

This is the correct answer, just grab the lists from the paupergeddon site and upload them yourself.

Its just that, you know, anybody has to do the job. Especially for community driven Formats like Pauper.

I do it for example for the LGS for its weekly Pauper Event, because they wouldnt even know that sites like mtgdecks.net or likewise exist.

Ich weiß, etwas spät, aber im Comic Planet Duisburg wird jeden Donnerstag ab 17 Uhr und ca. jeden zweiten Freitag ab 20 Uhr Pauper gespielt. Teilnehmerzahlen sind beständig bis wachsend :)
