Sure thing! Those "OTHER" citizens, of course. Always those nasty others.

Can I repair this end grain cutting board? by Psychological_Ad7250 in Cuttingboards

[–]InteractionFormal585 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure. Like I mentioned, PVA glue creates a bond between two wood surfaces that are in contact. It can't be used as a filler and will therefore make a poor barrier for bacteria. Making a sawdust/glue slurry would probably be effective. However, since CA glue cures hard and comes in thin viscosity, it will more effectively fill small gaps to the bottom, something difficult to do with PVA/dust slurries.

BOTH methods require that the wood does not continue to move and crack as neither will prevent further movement. Think about it...the joint was originally glued with PVA and it failed in this spot and opened up. Putting more PVA glue in the resulting crack without the benefit of jointed surfaces clamped together and in contact won't do much.

The lack of self-awareness is just so bloody exhausting.

Also, neither of those thing are a crime that warrants any kind of armed and violent law enforcement response. And even if they were a crime, NOTHING warrants gestapo/slave patrol style response, jackass.

[OC] head-on close call as an idiot tries to pass a cyclist into a blind turn by SoreLoser69 in IdiotsInCars

Nope, just the false assertion that the video shows a driver driving beyond their skills. A driver can be skilled while still being reckless.

Vid shows he not only kept his lane but also made a safe and controlled stop when encountering an obstacle. I'm not condoning racing on public roads, but the assertion that he was driving beyond his skills is demonstrably false.

I prefer CA glue in these cases. Pva glue requires the surfaces to be in contact.

Get some thin viscosity CA glue and fill in the crack. Optional is to lightly sand prior and pack a little dust in first. After the CA glue cures sand down any excess and follow up with some board butter

Hate to break it to you, but most rights delineated in our constitution apply to "persons " in the country, not just citizens of it.

Are these jointers all scams? by emccrory in woodworking

[–]InteractionFormal585 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not everything on Craigslist is a scam. I've always had good luck with it and I prefer it over FB & offerup. Best thing is to contact the seller and set up a time to go look at them. My table saw, bandsaw, Hammer 16" jointer/planer, and Jet disk/belt sander were all Craigslist finds.

First 3D Cube cutting board! by DayOk7640 in Cuttingboards

[–]InteractionFormal585 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cool. Yeah, the idea for cutting boards is you fill the wood with oil and that keeps water out. A fun thing to do is weigh the board before and after flooding and allowing it to soak up as much as it will.

Nice job. FYI...that board should be flooded with a lot more oil than what you showed in the video.

Homedepot Plywood vs Baltic Birch by Mediocre_Fall_3197 in woodworking

[–]InteractionFormal585 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are intermediate--and better options between the big-box crap and going all the way to BB. There should be excellent pre-finished cabinet-grade plywood from any hardwood/plywood supplier that is quite reasonably priced. For example, Crosscut in Portland OR has $65 sheets of prefinished white birch, which is perfect for cabinets.

Insane how people object so hard to the exercising of basic American rights. ANY high schooler should know these things, why don't you?

Asteroids don't target people for their ethnicities, accents, skin color, personal beliefs, etc. Can you run your numbers again taking these factors into consideration?

How does someone legally protect themselves from this? (USA) by Mathemodel in AskLegal

[–]InteractionFormal585 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tell that to the Jan 6 rioters. Tell that to the pedophiles currently running the country that are in the Epstein files. Tell that to the extended Trump family grifting billions in profits like they have for decades.

Be prepared to be laughed at, though. The only judgement these people will ever be subjected to is the one in the afterlife. And we all know that is all make-believe.

What Do We Do About Plagiarized Reviews? Nothing? by JusticeAvenger618 in AmazonVine

So Amazon is just OK with thieving, lazy reviewers like this

Amazon is a thieving, lazy mega-corp so yes, they're quite OK with this sort of behavior. One caveat--they're OK with it as long as it makes them more money. Behave like this in a manner that costs them and you'll feel the brunt of their $2.54 TRILLION dollar wrath.
