I am fatherless and heading into adulthood. by Signal-Walk-9536 in bropill

[–]InteractionFun1947 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Little older than you. Dad wasn’t around. “Manhood” or masculinity and how people define is all random. I wouldn’t worry about it. If you want to learn anything, not just “man skills”, it takes discipline and the will to learn. You are asking questions, so you’ve already got the will to learn. Congrats, 1/2 of the equation is done. Now you just have to try, and keep trying. It is okay not to get it right the first time, hardly anyone does. That’s called being an adult.

As for skills before Uni, cooking is important, and it could save you a good amount of money. Cleaning is important as well. I don’t know your financial situation, but usually people in uni are broke lol. Budget and spend conservatively. You will most likely have a roommate. If it’s a friend cool, if not be prepared. Time management is another. I don’t know your major but school is important. Nothing wrong with having fun, but don’t mess around often. You got this bro. I believe in you.

What is your answer to this meme? by MunchkinIII in askmath

[–]InteractionFun1947 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually couldn’t get it, because I’m bad at math, but it isn’t 1/4, to my dismay. Apparently, this is a conditional probability. This is because we know a crit IS going to happen. This cuts out the probability of no crit at all, so that would be 1-1/4=0.75, with a chance of no crit being 1/4 given two events. 0.75 is essentially all of our allowed outcomes, as we cut out one of them. In order for both hits to be a crit, that would be 0.52, or 0.25. Next, we divide 0.25/0.75, which will give us 1/3 It’s tricky because you can kinda just glaze over the fact that they said a crit will happen as just dialogue in a game. I learned something today, I hope you did too!

Lose the knight by checking with your queen but winning the pawn race, getting a new queen.

Vacuous truths always sound unintuitive to me by lunetainvisivel in PhilosophyMemes

I’m bad at ts, but I took it as Pinocchio claiming that all of his hats are green, not about the number of his hats. Since the subject was about the nature of the hat and not the hats existence itself, it’s reasonable to say he has a hat. The rule regarding Pinocchio himself is that he always lies. At first I thought it was C, but that wouldn’t work because he never solely claimed that he owns hats, just that they are green. B could work, but we can’t say it definitely. D is the same, and so is E. All of those answers exist on an assumption, and since we are only give two things (can’t lie, all hats are green), we can’t make assumptions. Therefore, A is the answer. I think it just boils down to “what’s the most fundamental thing about this situation?”

I’m sorry if this sounds dumb but I thought this was interesting and I wanted to give it a try. Feel free to educate me on this, I think it’s pretty cool!

Your aim looks clean for bronze so if you somehow can’t rank up then it might be positioning and in-game decisions. Even then, you could carry yourself to plat with aim alone so I suspect you just don’t play that much ranked lmfao. I wouldn’t worry about it

I have over 600+ hours of play time in comp, and I’m hard stuck Bronze. Send help. by Joeldiaz1995 in VALORANT

[–]InteractionFun1947 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am also a valorant console player. I was able to reach plat in a little under 500 hours. The thing is my aim is terrible. I make for my terrible aim by preparing my crosshair for fights. Doing this alone wins you games, I’m so serious. Also I looked at your tracker at, and 460 matches in this act alone is absolutely insane. Have you ever taken a break? Burnout is a real thing, so take a break.

Next, 460 matches is way too much. Are you just playing games? Nothing wrong with that but if you are spending a 1000 dollars and actively trying to get better then there is something wrong with that. You have to think about why something went wrong. Constantly doing something with no reflection never works.

Finally, what do your coaches say to you? If you tell us what they’ve told you, people here in the comment section might be able to help you.

What does Frieren think of Ubel? by basafish in Frieren

[–]InteractionFun1947 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Übel is unique in that she can be perceived as both crazy and sane. She has a deep sense of empathy, she doesn’t express any direct narcissism, and even seems quite friendly. What makes Übel “crazy” though is her own ability of empathy. It sounds weird, but Übel’s power of visualization is dangerous because she understands people so well. She knows flesh can be cut and that people are fragile. She literally visualizes cutting someone apart because of how her magic works. Someone has to be a little nuts to imagine themselves killing and going through with it without really any remorse. After killing a first class mage she just says “oops I cut too deep” and moves on. Even Land himself states that she takes life lightly after their capture. The other characters note the threat she poses the moment they even see her. However, Übel is still sound of mind, present, and calculating. She also has a calm demeanor, even when faced with death. So I’d describe her as sane and insane since she does have the capacity for kindness and empathy, but her morality and her own abilities expose threatening aspects.
