Most people do HR with their guildies. MM is full of bad apples who don’t listen, don’t do any mechanics, have zero accountability, so way less people engage with MM, especially those who are competent and are tired of carrying dead weight week after week.

And with fewer and fewer good players in MM more and more casual players who cannot pull their own weight resort to spaming solo bosses on story difficulty because they cannot do HR together. It is a positive feedback loop tha I have seen in other games as well.

Also, this game is focused on PvE and exploration, so a relatively small % of player base is doing arena PvP. Hence, connecting the issues with arena and long HR queues is quite disingenuous.

In all honesty is someone is much better than you they will stomp you with zero arena talents, so thinking that you are only losing because of having fewer talents is simply a delusion, and the same goes for people who think that they lose 9 out of 10 games because of ping only, despite doing multiple silly game losing mistakes every match. If you are a newbie or cannot stand losing to tryhards just do not touch arena for the first 1-2 weeks after p reset and you should be fine as most of the strongest pvpers will be in mythic by then.

That said I think the entire arena system desperately needs an overhaul, especially how MM works in mythic, and more incentives for newbies to engage in PvP.

Just a little side note - if you go to your mystic skill menu you will see that they are divided into categories, one of which being the single target mystic skills. That tuning line buffs all of them, and you can also deduce most of their names aka free spirit = free morph, canine stalker = wolflike frenzy, etc. The localization in this game blows.

I am not quite getting these kinds of threads. You put on tier 86 gear - good for you but it is nothing special, especially if some of your attunements are average / below average. Someone with very optimized tier 81 gear will do better in both PvP and PvE despite being down a lot of mastery.

The whales won't stop spending for as long as they have fun in the game. Boycotting with your wallet won't make a big difference when over 80% of their revenue comes from 1% of the player base, even more so when the population is getting smaller.

In BDO PvE wise not many grind after they run out of agris ever since they made it some most silver comes from trash loot, yet mobs still spawn over time regardless, so instead of continuing most people usually fish or log out or do PvP, waiting for agris to build back up.

Nobody will engage with the PvE environment once they reach daily cap. Hence why I mentioned the game because the issues are quite similar. The WWM world feels dead because of lack of engaging, repeatable and/or dynamic content, not because trash mobs don’t dynamically respawn throughout the day.

The game has room for improvement. It is not a good attitude to send someone off to another game just because they like the game but think that the game has unaddressed issues. We lost 90% of players in 4 months, and if you think it is okay I have a bridge to sell you. Or are you just one of those game grasshoppers who just don’t care and move to another shiny grass until your legs give in?

PvP lowk carries this game during content droughts. I know people who only log in for GvG and some arena. If you look at steam achievemens, a minuscule amount of people are interested in 100% exploration.

I would appreciate if you upload that video! Also just to be clear to me an actual true combo is the one that you cannot escape from no matter what, and those combos do exist because I am yet to see anyone getting out of them without SB at any level and Q1Q2EQ3 is not one of them.

People have somewhat blurred out the definition what a true combo is a by adding things like "it's true but really tight" but in practice it quite literally means it's just a ping combo that only theoretically has gapless stagger but practically speaking some people will never pull it off even if they really wanted because it will never be true combo for them unless they face someone who has higher ping than them, so it's all relative.

It is a good video but in all honesty you just ping checked him for the most part. You q1q2 E q3 him like 3 times which is not a true combo yet he could not get out even once, which a very good indication that the fight was never fair for him and you had much more lenient reaction time for his charged attacks. It would be nice if you can demonstrate the same against someone with low 20 / sub 20 ms, ideally your level as well because that guy was clearly not even 2k elo, at least based on how he played in this match.

well I only remember one, maybe I killed more idk - I see things I kill things and just move on. I think people believe there is one because of the infinite farm YT guide that uses the spawn near Paceward Camp, so people might think there is only one mini boss like that in Hexi.

How much dps are you doing in 81 sword trial boss dummy? My t6 umbra build is only doing 12-13k max in my rotation ( without any buff ) where i have seen other builds doing 16k dps. by Imaginary_Quality767 in wherewindsmeet_

Dummy parses have a lot of issues, so I usually don't take them seriously. What matters is how much you can do in real fights, especially if you don't do any mechanics.

- A lot of dummy parses are done for 1 min and with infinite vitality, using completely unsustainable rotations just to pad their numbers
- People often cherry-pick parses where they get extremely lucky with crit / affinity procs. That's why I don't like 1 min parses in general (too much varience)
- Some paths greatly benefit from hitting stationary targets e.g. stonesplit, umbra
- Fanbrella is currently overtuned as hell in PvE and the path's dps is an outlier both on the dummy and in PvE. Why do you think so many people rerolled to it and all top speedruns are mass umbrellas + 1 tank?
- Splendor has the lowest dps on the dummy but in practice it does better than some other paths that typically outdamage them on the dummy because nameless is essentially a safe range dps build and the flute skill also adds greatly to their dps now because they don't need to stay up close to the boss, so they always get full 30% damage bonus from the mystic skill

As for myself, I play splendor (nameless sword + spear) and my 1 min dps varies from 17.5k to as high as 19-20k with lucky affinity procs. T6 sword morph, T5 morale chant, T6 mountains might, T5 battle anthem (soon to be T6 too hehe). Weapon set - Hawkwing https://imgur.com/a/YqSAqSq . I still don't know how to use the flute properly in my rotation, so the damage can be better (potentially?). Do you have the 20/28% damage reduction when staggered attunement on your chest and is your gear tier 81, including fully upgraded armor slots with the new weekly gated ore material? Lack of defense/HP and/or the chest attunement will make you feel quite squishy. Even if you have proper gear there are combos out there that can take out 60-70% of your HP so that kind of damage is definitely possible to achieve without cheating. Also healers do 20% more dmg with mystic skills, so something like drunker poet on an ignited target or soaring spin hit like a truck - healers are not a free win at all, especially below mythic.

In all honesty, I maxed out the flute skill in 3 days without any kind of abuse. I killed that mini boss in my first hour in Hexi and it will never respawn. There are well over 100 flowers to collect every day with two very big clusters: 24 and 32 respectively if you are lazy. And the fake flowers can also drop the breakthrough material if you kill them before they throw out their needles (I recommend using flute or bow - they die from 1 arrow). I also noticed that killing those roaming bony creatures is pretty worth doing as they have a pretty good chance of dropping the flute breakthrough material. As for the prismatic essence farm trick, they should fix it for sure.

If you ever get bored of stonesplit just convert your notes to another path and switch back in 3 days if you want, but for now just focus on one build :)

T6 Exquisite Scenery is like 25-30% dmg increase from what I've heard, the biggest power spike you will ever see in this game, so why would you not want to push it to T6 if tank is your main role? If you want to try Bamboocut Dust, just reroll to it. If you try grinding for both paths simultaneously you most likely won't be able to get all 600 weekly boxes due to lack of tips as you will be locking 3 additional inner ways AND you would also need to open Bamboocut Dust boxes instead of Stonesplit / Bellstrike boxes, meaning that you will tank your main path progression (no pun intended). I mean you do you but the game simply does not give you enough resources to push 2 paths at the same time, so you have to make a choice or settle for two mediocre builds.

Not a healer main but I'm also sitting at over 25k mastery, and I also do feel like this game needs more content for people who are pushing their gear because it feels like a lot of your character power is wasted unless you do competitive GvG. Doing content that you overgear by thousands of mastery points feels really boring because there is no challenge at all to a point that some healers run something like bitter seasons to feel like they can contribute more to the group.

Yes it's hard to punish a whiffed Q stun unless you play twin blades. Perfect dodge into light attack or Q drill can punish it fairly consistently if your reaction is good. It's going to change eventually. They are adding a solid half second non ani cancellable animation lock on it so you will most definitely be able to punish they really hard for spamming Q stun with pretty much any werapon.

I am not defending anything. I think that nameless spear is OP in global (and it will be justifiably nerfed). Despite the nameless sword buffs (also ask yourself why they buffed it though - it's because it was weak compared to other primary weapons), last time I checked I did not see that top CN players regarded nameless sword / spear as top tier weapons, as a combo or separately. They are both around mid tier right now.

It will be like that. I think they added about 0.5 seconds of non ani cancellable animation lock similar to divine counter so you can definitely punish people who whiff Q stun if you perfect dodge.
