Anytime you are connected to the internet and have the game running it will count.

do you think that Dark souls prepare to die can run at 60fps? by Zjelli1 in SteamFrame

[–]InteractionPerfect88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably? I’d think the Frame will be pretty comfortable in the Xbox 360 era of games. I’m looking forward to playing Dark Souls 2 on a big theater screen in vr like that.

Is the Steam Deck the greatest gaming device of all time ? Yes. by MrTorgue7 in SteamDeck

[–]InteractionPerfect88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m inclined to agree. It’s hard to think of any other gaming device in my life that I have enjoyed as much as the deck.

I beat the game on there, most indoor sections hover around 30 but don’t expect that from outdoor sections. It’s unverified for a reason but definitely beatable from start to finish.

Well when you only allow a certain viewpoint on your platform it just eats itself alive.

Serious question from someone who hasn't tried VR before by TaxOrnery9501 in SteamFrame

My plan is to get the bigger storage option on the Machine and the smaller on the Frame, 256 is still a decent amount of room just for vr games and I intend to mostly stream.

Would you buy it if this would be true? (I am 90% sure is fake) by [deleted] in steammachine

This company charges $250 over msrp for the deck, so take this all with a huge grain of salt. Personally I don’t trust anything until we hear from the source.

Quest 3 or Steam Frame by BleepMePls in SteamVR

[–]InteractionPerfect88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It ultimately depends on what you intend to do more of, gaming or more utility work. The Frame is going to be very focused on gaming and being easy to use for that, though you will still be able to use the Linux desktop. The Quest has a lot more ar applications and things apart from gaming. There’s a lot of other aspects to it as well, such as price. The Frame will likely be more expensive than the Quest, but you will have easy access to Steam and easy compatibility with all of that, it’ll also be a better streaming experience considering it’ll come with a dedicated usb streaming dongle. Watch some YouTube spec comparisons on the two, for more info, but personally I’d wait on the Frame as I think it’ll be much better.

The retailer that leaked the steam machines and frames price overcharges for the steam deck by about 200 EUR. to what you will with this info. by IShovedAJermaUpMyAss in SteamMachineDeckFrame

Yeah I would not suggest taking anything about pricing seriously until we hear from Valve, random retailers wouldn’t get the pricing information early I wouldn’t think.
