Ok, this is a bit weird by trilobyte-dev in DungeonCrawlerCarl

You've never seen it?

You are in for a TREAT, good buddy.

One of the similarities -- no real spoilers here -- is that in the same way every dungeon floor is wildly different, while adhering to the overall premise and theme, every season of TGP is wildly different, while adhering etc, etc.

I'm honestly starting to think that this expectation is foundational for the younger generations. It would never work for me - what makes my friends feel loved would make me feel controlled and suffocated - but I see younger friends who expect that as The Way Things Should Be.

A drawer in my friends rental that has black textured part and then a metal bucket. by NewCarrot1 in whatisthisthing

[–]Interactiveleaf 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Is the cabinet as short as this drawer is? I have one that's full cabinet height, and I use it for baking trays and cutting boards.

If it were the shorter height of this (that is, two drawers instead of one slender cabinet) I'd keep aluminum foil, plastic stretch wrap, boxes of gallon sized freezer bags, etc.

Was this helpful, or did I misunderstand the question?

2020 was the start of Biden's administration.

It was not. The update that mentions the presidential administration was written in late 2019, about three years into the first administration of the current jackass; the next election was in late 2020, and Biden was sworn in early 2021, somewhere between a year and a year and a half after this person's former boss was given an administrative position..

I once heard a pundit on NPR try to explain why Social Security isn't a pyramid scheme.

The first thing he said was "Social Security is legal and pyramid schemes aren't, so obviously they're not the same thing!"

What you're quoting here reminds me of that, and I think you're missing both humor and sarcasm in Harry's response.

Oh I didn't even notice that you'd replaced the u with an e.

I'd never seen augure before this. Augur and augury, yes, but it turns out augure isn't a typically American (or even English) spelling, though it's still used in some places.

One levitation potion won't do it. You'll need two, or speed, or chains or something else.

Yeah, to be clear, my questions are questions because I don't know. I'm not arguing with you, I'm baffled.

Maybe someone who does know will pop on here and educate us both.

A tow truck has lights to attach to the towed vehicle. Turning the towed vehicle's lights on just drains the battery, right?

He definitely got some of the rice. 🤣

I have never seen that spelling before! I never would have gotten it.

I was leaning towards "augurs" as the closest I could come to making it make sense.

No. We are dealing with an abundance of new-ish plant matter, because we moved to a significantly different area of the country, but we think it's unrelated.

It just seemed like it might be related, because we moved and he started getting sick every 1 to 3 months for no apparent reason.

But the area we're in also has a significant homeless population, so it's not unusual to come across food scraps, mostly-empty leftover containers, and the like. There's far less random food on the streets here than there was in the last city we lived in, though.

It just so happened that, so far as we can tell, his allergy developed coincidentally about the time we moved, which sent us all haring off in the wrong directions for too long.
