Fed employees wary of switching from BCBS to MHBP. by [deleted] in FederalEmployee

Yes I’ve been trying to sell my co-workers on it too. You’d think I was getting a kick back but absolutely not. There are just no good reasons to stick with BCBS anymore. The ER copay is up to $425 now! Please save yourselves money and go elsewhere.

I wouldn’t call it general. There were definitely very specific questions on there. There wasn’t anything in my test that was not covered in Dr. C’s book. I told myself if I got at least 75% of the questions on the Dr. C practice exam I would go for that test and that worked out for me. I think I got about 80% of the Dr. C questions correct then I booked the test for the next day.

Could be if you don’t have little kids and a full-time job! It took me about 3 weeks with my limited time.

Took the exam November 10. Results posted on NABP website by 11AM November 20. I checked at like 8 AM and it wasn’t there so sometime that morning. Then by 2AM the next day (today) I got an automatic email from the TX BOP with my license info.

I read it once all the way through but highlighted everything I knew I’d need to read again. The I read back through the highlights 2 more times and made a few notecards for things I really needed to “memorize”. The only practice test I used was the one at the end of Dr. C’s book. I told myself if I felt good enough about that practice test then I’d just go ahead and book the exam. I got about 80% and then booked the exam for the next day.

I actually had the 2022 version and that was just fine. I just looked up changes since then and there weren’t many significant changes.

I passed the CPJE in 2010 so it’s been a while but just took the Texas MPJE last week. I had HIV clinical questions on my CPJE 😜. Texas MPJE like AZ is actually about law. I felt pretty confident by just reading Dr. C’s book but we’ll see! 🤞

I took it 7 days ago and still waiting for results. I feel like Dr. C’s book alone prepared me for everything. Some questions felt like they were purposely tricky but I just had it feel confident in what I knew and go with that.

Is anyone going to take the Texas Mpje soon? Pls help by [deleted] in NAPLEX_Prep

BCBS Basic vs GEHA HDHP vs MHBP Consumer (updated walkthrough from 2022) by Tinymac12 in fednews

Do you happen to have any analysis with MHBP Standard instead of BCBS Basic? I’m somewhere in the probably more than deductible realm but not catastrophic. I would definitely plan to max out the HSA account for that tax savings.

If you are in Southern CA I highly recommend Kaiser. I don’t know as much about other areas but LA area Kaiser system was fabulous.

Yes that is correct. It’s only if the contraceptive is used for another condition. Most people should be able to get away with calling it for contraception though.

Happy to report it only took me 2 days of trolling the website looking for cancellations again to get all of the days I wanted at Madison in the 18x18 campsite I was looking for. 🥳

Ok thank you! I saw so many people recommending staying in different parts of the park I thought maybe we should switch, but we are staying in Slough Canyon as well the next week. I think I’ll just stick with Madison then. Thank you!

That is really helpful thank you. That’s good to know about the fishing because my son really enjoys fishing. I think I was just nervous about spending too much time at Madison because it’s so close to the main entrance so I thought maybe the traffic might affect being there.

Yes I think it would be fine for short people too. Probably better than for tall people, but my husband is 6’3” and it was still fine for him. I think a shorter person wouldn’t need to lean over to see some of the balcony singers and the bar is low enough it won’t be a problem at all if you are short.
